This is a waterproof carrying pouch for mobiles.
The pouch can accommodate most smart phones, GPS devices and the like. It, however, does not accommodate tablets.
The pouch is transparent and comes with a lanyard/strap. The lanyard has detachable clips that clip into two holes at the top of the pouch.
It is interesting to note that the lanyard itself is of the adjustable kind which can be adjusted to allow carrying the pouch slung over the shoulders or around the neck based on the user’s requirements. This is a very neat design feature and demonstrates attention to detail.
The pouch material is transparent and feels durable with a semi-matte finish on its surface. The material on the inside is smooth and non-abrasive to protect the cell-phone/device display screens. I expect the material itself to last a long time. The pouch does not have any sharp edges and feels comfortable against the skin.
The device should be inserted into the pouch and the top rolled over, and the Velcro strips at either end should be fastened. The rolling of the top edge of the pouch is easy since it comes with pre-formed fold-lines and the user does not have to fumble for the same. The velcro strips are pretty tough and I have not had them loosen out on me, yet.
I have filled the pouch with my mobile, slim wallet, medical information sheet, and a spare set of bike keys. I do roll the key in insulation tape to prevent the sharp edges from poking through the pouch material.
Even in torrential downpours lasting a few hours through the ride, I have never had any water seeping through the pouch and damaging the contents. I wear it around the neck using the supplied lanyard/strap.
I have, very clumsily, managed to let the pouch fall into a small puddle of water and retrieved it within a few seconds. Although the pouch is not immersion resistant, there was no water ingress.
I definitely recommend this pouch as an excellent buy.
