an easy to use and pack-up sleeping bag, very cosy, light and compact
BUT WRONG temperature rating
I bought this a week ago in Spain (june). Day temperatures were 30 degrees
I used this sleeping bag dressed in THICK thermal leggings, thigh long, super thick warm socks and a winter downs jacket and jumper. I was sleeping on a sleeping mat AND had a bivy bag - yet I woke up being cold :( Nights were uncomfortable because I kept on waking up feeling very cold - not so happy with the bag
light, small, cosy and compact
didn't keep warm at all
I recently went on a small beginner Vol Biv expedition where we use either hike or fly paragliders across mountain terrain. I was on a route that leads from The pre-Julian Alps to the Dolomites, and top landed Stol [1,405m / 4609ft]. I had no tent, and luckily, a friend I was with found a mountain cabin that I could sleep in for the night. The sun set at the temperature fell to 19C and it was perfect! Unluckily, the North wind started howling after an hour, and came from some higher peaks a few miles away where it had Snowed the night before. The temperature dropped to 4C, and it was a struggle untill sun rise, however, I'm still here to leave a review so for that I'm greatfull. For those that don't no, a human can suffer hypothermia at temperatures around 10C, higher if it's windy or damp. I'll continue to push the boundaries of these light weight tents because their pack size and weight needs to be small to fit in out paragliding harnesses. If size is an issue, this bag can be a great choice for summer alp conditions. If you like to be warm, then I'd pick a slightly warmer bag for spring and Autumn. If you want to live another day to possible leave your own Decatholon review, then get a warmer bag for winter.
This would be suitable for 20* not 15!
Rating too high
I'm sorry to hear about your inconvenience with the Quechua Sleeping Bag.
I have already forwarded your feedback to our product manager in France.
If you wore too many clothes it could cause the effect you don't feel well the warmth of the sleeping bag.
If you would like to choose another type of sleeping bag, you can return it to your closest store for an exchange or a refund.
In that case i would recommend you these models:
