Good and affordable
This is a very affordable softshell, which provides good windproof quality. It's not much padded on the inside, so it's not supposed to be extra warm.
It's a tight fit, you should aim for one size above your usual size. It's also quite tight on the elbows, you feel it when bending your arms.
windproof, fitted
a bit tight on the elbows
Fantastic Softshell!!!
Used for 1 week or less
Overall, this jacket is very good and at a very competitive price. The thumb loops and stretch panels make it very flexible whilst still keeping you protected from the wind. The jacket fairs well against light rain making it ideal as your outermost layer for most weather conditions. The only complaint i have is that the hem cord stoppers fail to grip the cord effectively causing easy slippage. This is a minor problem as the jacket favours the slim physique of a climber anyway so they're not really needed for my fit.
Like all the products in the Simond range, i seem to fit mediums whereas all other brands id best fit a small, so id advice trying on the next size up from your usual fit.
This is an amazing jacket and id definitely recommend it.
Very well designed jacket
No major issues
