Used it for Himalayan winter trek during snowfall and it works wonders. You should understand one thing that no matter what shoe you wear, you WILL slip on ice. So apart from that, it does what it says. Few batchmates had forclaz 100 and they were fine too. But this 500 was the most common and all 500 series users manage to summit the Kedarkantha mountain ;)
Excellent grip, waterproof at its best
None. Cost maybe?
I bought this shoes 4 months before. It really works well in normal climatic conditions. Light weight and perfect durability. I felt little bit slippery while trekking in wet climate. Also I feel very chill in my toes and gripping problem in snow trekking. Actually I bought this for my Base Camp trek which is due on Sep 30th, so little bit worried whether it will work properly in that climate. If it is possible means I am ready to change it to Forclaz 600 by paying extra cost. Other than that it's really nice product from decathlon.
Bought this product for snow trek. Really worked good. Very comfortable and light weight. Gripping is wonderful and also the Nova dry features.

The shoes are completely waterproof and withstood the test of Laddakh in August. They have a good grip and did not slip on river beds, etc.
One major shortcomings that I found is that the front of the foot tends to get pushed forwards while one is walking while wearing the shoe. This can create problems in comfort, etc . I had a very bad experience while descending mountain slopes using these shoes.
The product is very good. But very slippy in wet condition. Otherwise a good choice for hiking.
I have used it on several hikes.
1. It is a very comfortable shoe.
2. I did not face any blister issues.
3. Waterproofing is good. No issues in rain.
It slips heavily on wet rocks. The grip on rocks is very poor even on light drizzle.
I had owned the older Forclaz 500 (6 years ago). It had a much better grip.
slips like hell on wet rocks.
Comfort on rocky path, grip while ascent & descent
Very good shoe, straight off the shelf. I used it for a month and a half for a long trek in Uttarakhand. Survived the rain and mud very well...9 km trek every day for one month and the shoe held up well. I got blisters on my toes, but that may have been due to the socks. However, they slip a lot on wet rock, sometimes even without moss on them. The shoe is very loose around the ankles and I twisted my ankle completely while wearing the shoe. That is one aspect of the shoe that should be improved.
Extremely comfortable, completely waterproof
Very loose around the ankle, slips on wet rock
Used these boots for over 10 treks in the Himalayas and they have not let me down. If these boots are this good, I can only imagine how awesome the Forclaz 500 & 600 will be.
