half-day lowland hiking in all weather conditions, on easy paths. For occasional use.
You will see the benefits of its grip from the 4 mm lugs and good foot hold. The ideal companion for short hikes in all weather conditions.
This is good for normal hiking but not great for longer treks as the laces keeps opening up and after long walks these shoes gives you blisters. I have just used it once in my recent trip to bharatpur and i must say i was tired of putting the laces back. Not a great grip on wet surface. Have used other brands but never had any problems but this is an average product
Laces are a pain plus not so comfortable shoes
I bought these shoes from Decathlon Noida. After a month of usage I found various issues with the shoes even though I merely used it for casual walking and little nature hike.
1)The shoes started making noise while walking. Everytime I take a step, it makes a squeaky noise. I went to the decathlon store and they said that its because it has TPR sole and thats the reason for the noise. I did some research and could not find anything about the sole being TPR. Please suggest, Am I being misleaded by the salesman?
2) The laces are made of a slippery polyester material which unties themselves after a every 20mins. very annoying.
3) There were mild blisters appearing below my toe, after a short hike.
1) Weird noise while walking 2) Laces come off
Thank you for for your feedback on the Arpenaz 100 Men's Waterproof shoes. I am sorry to hear that you have multiple issues with your shoes.
Let's address the three points one by one.
1. Shoes squeaking is very common. One of the major reason is moisture trapped in between layers and with friction it is making noise. Few pointers to fix this- Remove laces, insoles and let the shoes dry completely if they have gotten wet. If already dry, remove the insole and sprinkle some talcum powder on the suspected area. Talcum powder absorbs any remaining moisture and acts as dry lubricant thus reducing the friction.
2. The Arpenaz laces are round and smooth and can get undone if simply laced with a standard knot but I suggest you try any of these two popular knots and see which one suits you best.
Secure shoelace knot
3. Blister are caused due to friction between the skin and the material of the footwear. If it is underneath the toe, I suggest you wear padded hiking socks which will have extra cushioning around the ball of the foot and toes. The padded socks will require a slightly extra volume thus reducing the amount of movement your feet do, eventually reducing the friction.
Please feel free to get back to me in case of any doubts.
Happy hiking :)

Its not good products mainly in Monsoon in western Ghat. had bad experience my last trekking. if step on laterite stone in monsoon 100% you will get slipping.
Thanks you for sharing your review on the Arpenaz 100 hiking shoes.
The Arpenaz range of products is designed for lowland use on easy paths.
For trekking in Western Ghats, I suggest the Forclaz range of footwear which is designed for mountains.
Though not waterproof, the Forclaz 500 Fresh is ideal for all day hiking in hot weather on technical terrain with water crossing.
Thanks to it's perforated drainage feature on the sole and the mesh upper the shoe dries the quickest.
Please find the link below for more information on Forclaz 500 Fresh.
I am at your disposal in case you have more doubts.

Inner part of the shoe which stick to the ankle when the shoes are worn, tore in just 45 days... Got it replaced with sandal...
I bought shoes from Ghaziabad store , It was suggested to me that it provides great comfort but just after one hour of trekking threads are torn, I thought it was extra stitching but it’s happening in 3 – 4 areas which is not acceptable , at least form Quechua.
Shoes also got INFLATED now it's of no use as cushion support also got broader .
Please suggest if I can exchange of refund
I am customer who bought goods worth 30K+ plus in last 6 months from store .
shape , Colour , Material
laces , Coushion , inflate after use
Hello Amit Sharma,
Thanks for your feedback on the Arpenaz 100 hiking shoes. I apologize for the inconvenience caused to you.
To give you a technical insight on the Arpenaz 100 shoes, these shoes are meant for occasional hiking on lowlands . They come without a mid sole as the terrain these shoes are used on does not demand one and strictly not recommended for trekking.
I would request you kindly to visit any of our store closer to you and ask for an exchange. If your requirement is a shoe for trekking I would request you to go for a model from the Forclaz series of Quechua(Forclaz 100, Forclaz 500 or Forclaz 600).
I stay available if you need any further assistance.
good for dry treks, but not so good for high altitude treks like in laddakh or somewhere in himalayas. slips a lot over wet regions. threds started coming out within a month of usgae. but strong and well, ofcourse it's waterproof. partially satisfied.
might not be durable, not good for wet regions
I have purchased this shoes 2 weeks back from Decathlon(wagholi) based on the recommendation by your sale executive for Shayadri trek.He told me that it's an all weather shoes and good for trekking in Shayadri, But I almost slipped to my death on my first trek with these shoes in Shayadri. Highly disappointed!!!
Not Good, slippery in monsoon trek
Hello Sumit Garg,
Thanks for you feedback on the Arpenaz 100 waterproof shoes. I am sorry for the inconvenience caused by the shoe.
The arpenaz 100 waterproof shoes have a deep and aggressive tread made of durable rubber which provides enough grip on easy paths in the mountains, however there is always a balance to be found between the stickiness of the grip and the durability of the rubber. The softer the sole the more grip it will give but will wear out faster. Also the arpenaz 100 impermeable shoes are designed to walk around 3-4 hours on damp surface or during rains but if aquatic and technical usage is your primary need then I suggest you go for the Forclaz 500 Fresh shoes which has been a hit on the Sahayadris as told by our users. Good shoes with one flaw that lace gets open on every 30-40,steps.
feel little heavy, lace get open on every 40 steps
I have two shoes, used them for several trekking and nature walk.
I even use them for cycling/ jogging. No problem at all except they are slightly slippery on wet surfaces.
Confort, Durability, Waterproof, Dry surface grip
Slightly slippery on wet surfaces
The overall quality of shoes is nice. It is comfortable to wear and feels rugged. But the one big disappointment is that the shoe laces are made up of a slippery material due to which they tend to loosen up every 2-3 hours. With the laces changed, this is a good product.
Look and sturdiness
