Products are good but still you lack the variety that are available in store located in Europe
I was on the lookout for a good floor pump to avoid the short (but frequent) trips to my local bike repair shop. After a lot of research, I narrowed in on the FLP 5000 floor pump, and I don't regret my choice of buying it from the local Decathlon Store (Thrissur). The guys at the store gave a short demo on how to use the pump (with details regarding how to reverse the front end to adapt it to different valve types). I have been using it for over 2 weeks now. It does what it says and is very easy to use.
Build quality, pressure gauge, ease of use
What a difference this pump makes over the telescopic one I have on the bike.
Ease of connection.
Had to buy an adapter.
you need air, this will work. you need saolid tyres for the road, this will work. I nfact, just buy one!!
easy to use and switch adapter
The plastic thickness of the base is just right to use a 2.5 mm drill to create a Kensington lock slot (buy a cheap "Kensington type"lock for ~£3), then you can put this in a communal area where you keep your bike - useful if you live in flats and keep your pump in the flat, but bike downstairs and want better than a hand pump.
Cheap, works well
Simple easy to use
Simple to use
Great pump and takes the tyres up to 80psi with ease
Did both types of valves
No dual head
Really good pump. I use it every time I go for a long ride. Takes no time.
Dual nozzle. Quick
Great pump, works well up to and above 100psi. Feels sturdy, gets the job done. Bargain for this level of pump.
The pump seems very efficient and the gauge seems accurate, but overall the pump is virtually unusable because the handles are such a poor design. The underside is nicely rounded, but the top, where you apply the pressure to pump is flat with square corners that dig painfully into your hands and make them extremely sore after just one or two minutes of use.
The only reason I haven't returned the pump is it's not worth the cost of the tunnel to get back to the Lakeside store.
Overall, avoid this item and look elsewhere...
Pumps quickly and efficiently
Handle has corners that dig painfully into hands
I'm sorry to read that you've found the handles to be uncomfortable.
If you are pumping up bike tyres or the odd football then if should only take a few seconds and you should feel no discomfort.
However, If you are pumping continuously for one or two minutes then I can understand that your hands may become sore.
If you are not happy with this bike pump then you can return it to store the next time you visit the lakeside are.
