Technical Information

Why can't you free dive with the Easybreath mask?
The volume of air contained in the Easybreath is much greater than that contained in a traditional mask, from 1 m deep, the pressure of the mask on the face becomes very uncomfortable. When you free dive, you need to equalize the pressure afterwards. However, with the Easybreath this is not possible because you cannot get at your nose.
Why isn't the snorkel of the Easybreath very long?
Contrary to what some may think, the snorkel of the Easybreath sticks out of the water more than a traditional snorkel. A traditional snorkel seems longer because it starts from the mouth and not the top of the head like the Easybreath. To guarantee respiration that meets current standards, we cannot make the snorkel any longer.
What size Easybreath should I choose?
The Easybreath is available in 2 sizes which cover 90% of faces. Children aged over 10, teenagers and women should opt for the S/M size, and men for the M/L size. To choose the right size in store, tighten the mask so that it fits against your face. There should be no gap between your chin and the bottom of the mask. More details: http://www.tribord.tm.fr/conseils/comment-choisir-la-taille-de-son-masque-easybreathr
Why two sizes instead of four?
Sizes S/M and M/L cover 90% of face sizes of people aged over 10. Therefore, sizes XS and L/XL have been discontinued. This optimisation will enable us to reduce the price of the Easybreath.
Can I use the Easybreath if I have a beard?
Beards can be responsible for letting in significant amounts of water. We recommend that men shave their beards before using the Easybreath because the hairs can break the seal between the silicone skirt of the mask and your skin.
How does the exclusive anti-fogging concept work?
It works best in waters over 18°C and is based on the fact that the fresh air breathed in is projected onto the front window before reaching the nose or mouth. The damp air that you breathe out is expelled through the side connections made of plastic and then silicone, which channel the air in the snorkel. In this way, the air constantly renewed. This is the same principle as the ventilation of your car windscreen.
How does the dry-top system stop water from entering?
It was developed to stop water from getting into the snorkel when there is choppy water, small waves on the surface or when the user leans their head too far forward to observe the seabed. There is a float in the snorkel that rises when you dive and blocks the tube. After diving, remember to blow out when returning to the surface to make sure that the float descends.
What precautions should I take with my Easybreath mask?
Pay attention to sand! Avoid letting your Easybreath mask come into contact with sand as this can scratch the window of the mask. If sand is present, do not use force to clip the snorkel into place. Rinse the snorkel and mask before connecting them. Sand can also clog the float valve inside the snorkel. Rinse the snorkel vigorously or use a key that you can fit through the rear vents of the snorkel to unblock the float valve, then rinse the snorkel.
Can I repair my Easybreath mask if it breaks?
YES, extend the lifespan of your Easybreath mask! After-sales service is available from the Workshop in your Decathlon store. Spare parts can also be purchased online at: http://spi-atelier.decathlon.fr/fr/atelier/produit/1885088 . Part codes: strap - 8316952, valve - 8363399, snorkel - 8342901, white cover - 8363395.

Worth Buying

The Mask is a must buy and I am going to buy 3 more for the entire family. The quality is excellent and the build is great. Even if you have to buy for one holiday then you must buy this.

I used it in Maldives and had no experience of Snorkeling and yet I could snorkel with no difficulty.

Dont hesitate in spending money on this one
Its fabulously easy to breathe under water
Limited Choices of Sizes and Colors in comparision
Excellent clarity. difficult to breath.
Used for 7 to 12 months
I am not confident of taking this in for long distance snorkelling. For 2 reasons:-
1. I struggle to breath after 10 minutes(with a regular snorkel I can keep swimming for 20-30 minutes straight.
2. At some point water starts seeping inside.
Clarity of vision
Difficult to breath.
Amazing Mask, Fantastic Service
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
We bought our boys a mask each for Christmas. My younger boy is autistic and loves to swim but hates a standard snorkel mouthpiece. My older boy gets frustrated with his mask fogging up. After reading reviews on full face masks, we decided to go with Tribord. We couldn't have made a better decision! These masks are so well designed. My son popped the mask on, adjusted it and went off snorkeling for a good 20 minutes. My other son had longer hair which flopped over his face when he put the mask on. This did allow some water to leak in, but once it was pointed out that he needed to clear his hair away from the contact area, the leaking stopped - definitely user error, and no fault with the mask. My husband who has scuba dove since the 80's tried on the mask, and love it. Its a fantastic concept and takes the annoyance out and put enjoyment back in to snorkeling. I suffer from jaw issues so have a sore face after snorkeling with a regular snorkel and mask. I'll be switching to a full face mask in future.
No mouthpiece therefore no sore jaw
Easybreath surface snorkelling mask - blue
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
I bought this mask to take on a cruise to the Pacific Islands in early December 2016. It exceeded my expectations. I always wanted to snorkel but was uncomfortable and not confident with the snorkel and mask. This makes snorkeling so much fun and so easy and I can't wait to use it again. Recommend it totally as it is amazing in my opinion.
Breathe normally and great vision - loved it
Used for 3 to 6 months
I bought (what I thought) was a cheaper mask from a well-known online shop and also an Easybreath and tested both in Mallorca.
Ok, the sea wasn't especially clear but the difference between the masks was clear. This mask was clear, the ball didn't get stuck (causing you to suddenly have to come up for air) and felt a better fit than the other (Thenice - there I've said it!) mask. So pleased I've found these that I am ordering another for my husband to take away next year. The kids can have the cheaper one.... :)
I am an advanced diver so it's not that I am not confident in the water. These however will make snorkelling just that much more fun and no more water in the air tube!
Easy to breath, doesn't fog up, clear
Money well spent
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
Thought we would try these instead of a normal snorkel and face mask and we were both so impressed with them. Because of the design they are quite buoyant and easy to use. Mine fitted perfectly and snorkelling was so easy. Lots of people were intrigued by them and we recommended them to everyone. While others were trying to get the mask and snorkel right for them we just popped them over our heads, just make sure you don't get hair in them and off you go. Possibly the only downside for some (but not us) is you can't dive down but as vision is so good anyway we were not bothered by this.
Great vision, easy to put on and use.
Works very well
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
Perfect for slow paced shirt snorkel swims, not ideal if you get out if breath as breathing slightly restricted.
Great seal and visibility
Restricts breathing more than snorkel
Used for 3 to 6 months
Used for 1 week or less
Absolutely love this item. I swam for over an hour and not once did I need to adjust, clean or empty out water. Breathing is easy. You just breath. No bits in your mouth. Absolutely love this product.
Was delivered within days. Worth every cents.
No more clearing, unfogging, emptying out water.
Nothing negative
