1
Technical tests for poles

Tests are also carried out to assess how the tightening systems cope with pulling, tightening and repeated stress, and pull tests on the tips and handles simulate poles getting stuck when in use.
2
Precautions for use
Always check that your poles are properly tightened before departing.
3
How to adjust poles?
Hold the poles with your arms bent at a right angle. To adjust them: unscrew the middle section beneath the ring of the lower section, adjust to desired height (in cm), and screw back on firmly but not too tight Repeat with the lower section. NEVER GO OVER THE "STOP LINE", or the pole may break during use.
4

Used for 2 to 8 weeks
During wet weather conditions it is a great aid for keeping your balance and gives more confidence in walking down very muddy slopes up and down. It also helps me keeping other people dogs away from my Jack Russell who thinks she is a Rottweiler, this was a secondary plus for me.
Helps when walking dog
I found the initial instruction not to clear
Used on The Inca Trail

These were a great buy. I used them non-stop and I really could't have done The Inca Trail without them. They were hard wearing, light and I could telescopically close them when I needed to fit them in my suitcase. A must have for any hiker.
Hard wearing on heavy, uneven terrain but light.
