From my review below you can see that I love our Itiwit 3. Since then we have kayaked on the Atlantic coast of France, and on the grand lacs du Medoc.
I would love to hear more about where one is allowed to kayak in France as we got several angry shouts but mostly just waved and carried on.
Didn't mean to be rude.
Our boat also burst a seam on the inner tubes and as yet we can't find a contact to help.
Didn't affect anything though and we just charged out for another sea paddle regardless, our best of the fortnight!
I purchased an Itiwit 3 just over a year ago and had it replaced after using twice because it filled with water. The second one seemed fine for the first couple of times. It was stored for the winter and has now been bought back into use. It too now fills with water after about 30 minutes of use. I don't expect I will get another exchange as it is now out of warranty, but having said that I don't want another one.
Fills with water.
Thank you for your feedback about our product. We are sorry to hear that you had such experience with ITIWIT 3 kayak. We are aware that 2015 model had design issues but they have been resolved. Our improved 2016 ITIWIT 3 kayak has been available this summer in our stores and online. So far we didn't discover any technical issues.
Please don't hesitate to return the kayak to your closest store or via the online process for an exchange or full refund.
Apologies for any inconvenience.

We've now used a few times for trips of up to 10km(on rivers)and shorter trips in surf at the beach. We have found it very stable (with the fins attached - not whilst in surf) and good fun - a great way to get family members into paddling.
Worth mentioning you can't really get all three people paddling at once, and the bag (which is pretty uncomfortably to carry, I've taped an old rollmat onto the shoulder straps) broke the first time we used it - although decathlon are sending a replacement.
The kayak is great all round
The bag, durability and shoulder straps
This is my first kayak and i when for an inflatable for ease of storage and transportation and found this particular boat very compact and easy to store and transport. Water ingress problems seem to have been sorted as i have have no issues with my kayak.
I have found this to be a very affordable, safe and stable boat at sea and on rivers.
Very stable, packs up quite compact.
Catches the wind.
Very pleased with item.
Have unfortunately damaged my store card in the wash, could you please send me a new one to 15 Orchid Close, Taunton, TA1 3XL.
Easy to assemble and pack away and very stable.
Having decided to take a short may bank holiday break in a classic vw campervan from Hillbilly Campervans, in the North-East of Scotland, I decided to purchase the tribord, 3 man, itiwit kayak for paddling the dramatic coastline. As an experienced kayaker, who has owned in the past both rigid and inflatable kayaks, I decided that I should purchase a 2/3 person kayak so that myself, my wife and the dog plus luggage could go exploring together and enjoy the water.
This amazing kayak took in total about 10 minutes to inflate including seats. There was ample storage space, both front and back for picnic, water proofs, trainers and everything you would need for a day on the water. I didn't even need to use the elasticated storage area on the back! Once in the water she paddled easily, DID NOT take in any water, except the run off that you create when you paddle, also, due to the extremely comfortable seats you sit high enough that any runoff from the paddles means you are NOT sitting in a pool of water! With the centre seat removed there was an amazing amount of room, bearing in mind i am 6 foot 3 and my wife is 5 foot 7 and both of us could sit straight-legged without touching the back of the front seat (in my case) and the front of the kayak (in my wife's case).
Both of us has had an amazing day, I thoroughly recommend this product it easily folds back up into its carrying bag and the only negative that I can find is that the carrying bag, in my opinion, would benefit from a carrying handle on the side of the bag.
Along with the kayak, I also purchased sets of 225 paddles from decathlon and the decathlon tribord 10 litre dry bag. Paddles performed exceptionally well and are easy to dismantle and are comfortable for extended use. The dry bag does exactly what it says, holds an amazing amount and keeps everything dry and I am totally impressed with the quality of the material used as I thought it would be poor plastic but its not!
Overall I thoroughly recommend it and hats off to decathlon!
great size and quality
carrying storage bag could do with a side handle
Review for Itiwit 3 kayak
We bought this on 9/4/16 and paddled from Stockport to Sale on the R. Mersey the morning after. I’m very pleased with the Kayak. (10 mins to inflate with the Sevylor footpump £6.50). The boat felt very steady and remarkably comfortable. We did the 14km trip in 2.5 hrs (the river was not exactly in spate, but recent rain meant it was flowing nicely). It handled well enough without the three detachable fins (skegs?). We didn’t want to use these in possibly shallow sections of the river. I’m so pleased with the facts that I can inflate it straight out of my car boot and therefore don’t need a roof rack and as much storage space at home. We also bounced of the sides when we bumped into them due to dodgy steering. However, I wish I’d bought the 225 paddles, not the 215 cm ones.
Room for improvement? I know why they do the boat in such loud colours, but a dark green or brown/black boat would have enabled us to get closer to the wildlife we saw. We shipped a fair amount of water in the faster flowing/whiter water section (I know it’s not made for this) and the drips from the paddles added to this bilge. When we took the boat out and released the drain plug from the bottom, a fair amount of water came out, but nothing like earlier reports. Perhaps this leaking issue has indeed been fixed? The 230kg weight limit is just about OK for camping trips…just. I’d like an extra 20 kg for all the kit, though. It’s no complaint, but it was time consuming to disassemble, hose down, reassemble before putting into storage, but you’ve got to look after your kit.
I went halves on the boat and equipment with a friend, making it very affordable (I can’t believe I also got wet-salopettes for 20 quid and wet-gloves for seven quid in the sale). A couple of paddles and a dry-bag and we were good to go (I should also have bought the buoyancy aids. I’ll pop back for them). We are planning a trip to NW Scotland in the summer and intend to do some inland and sea-lock kayaking, as well as some coastal routes (conditions permitting). I may post another review on the boat’s performance after this.
Quick to inflate. Cheap. Sturdy, Large
Pain to disassemble, clean and dry... minor point
We love the kayak and have had some great family outings off the beaches here in Dubai. However 2 of the keels (fins?) fell off and whenever i go to Decathalon to enquire they say they will investigate and call me but they never do. Can i replace them?
great kayak easy to transport
keels fell off and haven't been able to replace th
Thanks for your mail. Glad to hear you are enjoying the boat! You can indeed replace the fins for the kayak, the Decathlon reference number of the part is 8309268, however at the moment you can only order through a store, and further to that they are out of stock. I have mailed the person responsible for the stock of the part to ask when it will be back in the warehouse, and will contact you with that info as soon as I have it.
Apologies for the inconvenience,

We bought this a week ago and have taken it out on the water four times. Each time, an hour in, the boat becomes really heavy to paddle and one cannot lift it from the water until it has been drained. It takes on a ridiculous amount of water. This is not the first review to mention the problem. Today we received brilliant service at the Reading store - they acknowledged the problem and replaced the boat with the understanding that should we again have a problem, we will return the boat, either for a replacement or refund. Fingers crossed now that this one is leak free. Aside from this, the boat is easy to load in a car, assemble / pack up, is very stable in the water and fun to use. I hope the manufacturer sorts out the problem!!!
Easy assembly / easy to pack / fun to use!
Takes on lots of water!!!
This is my first boat of anykind and only had it a few months, but no regrets, been using it every weekend up and down rivers mainly, chose this one over the others as it looked more robust with that solid canvas covering. I have a small car and every thing I need goes in the boot so I can go anywhere and within 10 mins of parking up can be in the water and on my way. I've lost a skeg so any pointers where I can get a replacement would be appreciated.
