I purchased these in Aug 2015 and use for most days that I'm working. I'm a big guy and find most trainers last me around a month or so, not these as I'm still using today, the tred pattern is almost worn through so just about to purchase a second pair, if a beer company made them then they would be classed as probably the best hiking shoes on the planet - for me they are......
Comfort and Long Lasting
I use these primarily as cycling shoes. Despite the obvious lack of a cleat these shoes provide excellent grip and stability on the pedals and are incredibly light and comfortable. Off the bike they are comfortable enough to wear all day, what more can you ask of a shoe?
Lightweight, comfortable and supportive
Tongue has a tendency to curl at edges!
I think that the show is a bit longer and more narrow than nost, so if unsure which size to select GI for then bigger of your options ( I did and got a good fit, that said my feet are a bit on the wide side)
That I did not buy 2 pairs :-) UK
I really like these shoes and feel they offer excellent mid-range quality at a great price. When I bought these, my criteria were to acquire leather walking shoes (not boots) without a waterproof membrane (an advantage, in my experience). I have now completed two 15km walks (one relatively level, and one fell walk) and cannot fail these so far. The rear caps stabilises my heels well, without being constrictive, and combined with the toecaps keeps most mud of the shoes. The lacing extends far down to the toe, so I am able to restrict toe slip quite well. For the price, I certainly give these five stars. What remains to be seen is their longevity.
For version two (hint, hint), I recommend the following tweaks (then they would be *really* great):
* A gusseted tongue
* Increase the the sole by ~4mm throughout the length
* Replace the white lining and sole with a darker colour
Very Light and comfortable
