Technical Information

1
Pitching/folding
5 poles to be put into the sheaths and place in the metal pins under the flysheet while applying pressure.
2
Guarantee
All our tents are guaranteed for 2 years of normal use (your receipt or loyalty card constitutes proof of purchase). In the event of a problem, have your tent checked out in your local Decathlon store.
3
Sun protection
The flysheet fabric filters out UV rays with an SPF of 30. Please note: a large amount of UV can enter through a single open door.
4
Wind resistance
We test all of our tents in a wind tunnel with a rotary table to expose each side of the tent to the wind. A properly assembled tent with all the stays in position around the tent should remain habitable,e under wind speeds measuring 50 km/h at ground level.
5
Storage
Pockets in the living area and bedrooms.
6
Ventilation
Lined flysheet around the living area to allow ventilation and reduce condensation. A vent behind each room.
7
Waterproofing
All Quechua tents are laboratory tested: the WHOLE TENT under 200 litres/hour/sqm (200 mm/hour) for 4 hours! as well as in the most. (2000 mm PU-coated polyester fly sheet, 120 g/sqm polyethylene groundsheet, all seams sealed using thermobonded tape). A breathable polyester inner tent under the fly sheet means you aren't in contact with the condensation that forms naturally on the inside of the fly sheet.

Product test
QUECHUA tent waterproofing is approved for the whole tent under 200 litres of water/hour/sqm (200 mm of rain per hour) for 4 hours. The water column test (=mm schmerbers) only measures fabric waterproofing. Our test means we can prevent any water getting through the seams, flaps, openings, zips, etc. Wind resistance: We test all of our tents in a wind tunnel and on a rotating plate to expose each side of the tent to the wind. Tested in real conditions.

Stockage tips
Storage - after use or cleaning, do not store your tent until it is perfectly dry to prevent odours and mould from forming.

Maintenance tips
1 CLEANING: clean the tent with soapy water if necessary, then rinse (with a hose if possible). Dry completely before storage. 2 SAP STAINS: very difficult to clean: once dry, gently scratch the stain. Rubbing an ice cube on the underside will make it brittle, making it easier to remove. 3 STORAGE: after use or cleaning, do not store your tent until it is perfectly dry to prevent odours and mould from forming.

Decent tent but not perfect
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
We've pitched this tent three times now, one trial run in the garden and on two separate campsites. Overall it's good but we found it a bit tricky to get it completely straight so that the flysheet is taut over all three bedroom pods. Also disappointed that it leaked in the living area where a hook for a window cover is sewn into the seam. The bedroom pods all remained dry in heavy rain.
Roomy, separate bedrooms, quick to put up.
Leak under heavy rain, tricky to put up correctly

shame about poles
Nice tent but poles need quality control or stronger - other tents with similar poles have lasted years
Really useful space with headroom
2 poles cracked - only used 3 times
T6.3 family tent

Excellent Spacious 6+ man tent
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
First-off, the clips & toggles are no different from other top-end brands eg Eurohike & Outwell, but unlike a similar Outwell tent which can be easily erected in 20 mins by one person, this does need 2 people though can be ready to use in under 15 minutes without instructions.
This was used in constant heavy rain 11+ hours without any leakage - before we packed-up and left.
The tent is spacious and airy, suffered no problems with condensation and allows water to roll-off with no sagging. It has plenty of deep pockets easily able to hold general items including maps.
The ground mat has been cleverly designed to velcro to the bottom of the rooms and hook to the tent, this creates an inner-tray ensuring water simply cannot enter even from the ground.
The only real problems the tent does suffer from is: the mat does not extend into the porch area - you will need an additional mat as especially as the porch is still inside; the room-pods have no windows, only the main tent, the door cannot be extended to a covered porch, it is simply left loose of rolled-up, the guy lines are all white (yellow is better - this can be adjusted by buying replacement lines (generic is fine); also, all zips are single-zipped rather than double so the tent pods really need to be fully-opened from the bottom to the top clambering across the person next to the door is therefore garder.
Sturdy, durable well designed product
Needs at least 2 people to erect, heavy 15Kg
Good tent, but internal clip broke.
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
Have had 2 of these tents now and the internal bedroom clips have broken on both. It is otherwise a lovely tent but having woken up to wet bedding due to the clip breaking I wouldn't recommend it.
spacious and easy to put up
internal clips brittle

Me and a friend put it up in 10min and was the easiest tent I've put up simples what a GREAT TENT
Internal clips made of brittle plastic
Hi, on my first attempt at putting up this tent the internal plastic clip broke to one of the inner bedrooms. Other than that fairly basic problem it is a lovely design.
