the arms on the glasses are kept in place by a plastic slot in joint and a piece of elastic (which is supposed to keep the glasses in place whilst using). My daughter wore them twice and the elastic band snapped completely.
Thanks for your feedback on the children's Driver Walking and Skiing sunglasses. I'm very sorry that you've had a problem with the arm breaking.
I double checked on our French website which has all the international reviews of the product to see if it is a recurring problem with the glasses or perhaps just a individual fault in production. Of the 59 reviews there were two others - one with a broken arm and another where the rubber had come loose from the arm - where the customer had had a problem with the glasses. It leads me to believe that there may have been a manufacturing defect with the pair of glasses you bought.
If you are otherwise happy with the glasses I would recommend exchanging them in your store (they're guaranteed for 2 years against manufacturing defect) but you are also welcome to have full refund.

I bought these for my son to take away for a week long residential. They came back in one piece after a week of abseilling, rock pooling, quad biking and rock climbing.
Great look and fit. I liked the way they close.
I bought these for my 8 year old daughter and she finds them really comfortable to wear. They wrap around her head and block out the sun well. We're really pleased with this purchase.
Arms that wrap around the head so they fit snugly
