Technical Information

Classic dome tent assembly: poles set up with the bedroom, then flysheet fixed on top. Reverse movement to take it down.
2 vertical zips for the outer door. Two D-shaped zips on either side of the inner tent. The entrance doors can be left open, rolled up and attached to the pole.
2 vents at the top, 2 inner doors with mesh in the upper section, space between the flysheet and the floor all round the tent: to allow air to circulate between the bedroom and fly sheet, for more breathability and to limit natural condensation.
Wind resistance
We test all of our tents in a wind tunnel with a rotary table to expose each side of the tent to the wind. A properly assembled tent with all the guys in position around the tent should remain habitable under wind speeds of up to 40km/h at ground level (Force 5)
All Quechua tents are laboratory tested: the WHOLE TENT under 200 litres/hour/sqm (200 mm/hour) for 4 hours! as well as in a test mission. (2000 mm PU-coated polyester fly sheet, 120 g/sqm polyethylene groundsheet, all seams sealed using thermobonded tape). A breathable polyester inner tent under the flysheet means you aren't in contact with the condensation that forms naturally on the inside of the flysheet.
Sun protection
The Ti0² -coated fabric is SPF 50+. Please note: a large amount of UV can enter through a single open door.Protect your skin with sunscreen.
Poles, pegs
Poles: hollow fibreglass (2 diameters Ø 6.9 and 8.5 mm). Tent pegs: 5mm galvanised steel pegs for good twisting resistance.
1 pockets for storing you things in the bedroom.

Product test
QUECHUA tent waterproofing is approved for the whole tent under 200 litres of water/hour/sqm (200 mm of rain per hour) for 4 hours. The water column test (=mm schmerbers) only measures fabric waterproofing. Our test means we can prevent any water getting through the seams, flaps, openings, zips, etc. Wind resistance: We test all of our tents in a wind tunnel and on a rotating plate to expose each side of the tent to the wind. Tested in real conditions.

Stockage tips
STORAGE - after use or cleaning, do not store your tent until it is PERFECTLY DRY to prevent odours and mould from forming.

Good on the inside but bad on the outside
Used for 7 to 12 months
I have just used it twice and the pole has already broke don't know how as I was very careful with it and the bag that holds the tent togather has already torn from many places from the stitching area apart from that it's good and waterproof used it in muddy rains didn't allow anything to enter in the best part is the ventilation awesome tent if u guys are serious in regards with ur products then please improve on the material of Ur pole and bag except that it's nice I would have given 5 stars.
Comfortable and spacious
Pole material and the bag in which the tent is kep
An awesome product compromised at few key places
Used for 1 week or less
A tent, best suited for Indian weather. The Black inner lining keeps the tent cooler inside. The silver lining on the outer cover reflects heat. A tent with such technical good features has flaws/ cost cutting at key places. The carry bag of the tent does not have a drag string clamp. This clamp is key to keeping your tent compactly folded in your backpack. To add to this, the strings of the external sheet do not have a length adjuster as well( Both these clamps were available in its predecessor, the arpenaz 3 fresh). I would have also been nice if the interior had more mesh area for better ventilation. If not for these very technical disadvantages the tent is of high quality will give you a very good camping experience.
Quality for the fabric, ligth weight, strong poles
Missing the draw string clamp.
Response of the brand
Hello Deepak,

Thanks for your feedback on Arpenaz 3 person Fresh and Black tent. I am glad to hear about the features you liked on the tent.

My answers for the issues you faced with the tent are as below,

1. Length adjuster/ Runner missing: Yes, we did give up the runner keeping in mind the usage of an Arpenaz series of tent. Arpenaz series of tents in Quechua are meant for camping in the lowlands, occasional use, where the winds are not so heavy and we do not need a runner there to keep the tent stable, also helps us not increasing the price of our product and staying aligned with the mission to make our products accessible to more users.

2. Draw Cord clamp: We had the option of either increasing the prices and have a draw cord clamp or give up on it and ensure low price for our user, but still stick to the promise of an Arpenaz product. I will still take this feedback and pass it on to our product manager for the future.

3. More mesh on the inside: To repeat the promise of the Fresh and Black, keeps the tent cool for sleeping comfortably and keeps it dark making it like a black out inside. Adding more mesh, compromises on the promise the tent offers, but still provides  the ventilation required for a user on the recommended terrain of the product.

I stay available if you have any further queries.

Fastest delivery (1 day) + Awesome quality
Super Cool
Am very impressed with the cooling effect this tent has. I was able to sleep well till around 10AM under the hot sun. Better than any other tent for hot conditions. Perfect for the heat.
Could have been a little bigger
Needs a porch to be the ultimate festival tent
Used for 1 week or less
Had use of one of these tents during take-down of a festival. It was so dark that it required a torch to be used inside the tent, even during the day.
"Fresh and dark" is by no means a misleading name.
Would I buy one? If it had a porch, without a moments hesitation. In its current form, without a porch, it is not exactly practical for those attending long festivals in potentially muddy locations.
Super dark
No porch
Absolutely Love this Tent
Used for 3 to 6 months
I used this tent for two festivals this summer and absolutely loved the cool and dark which allows you to stay asleep in the mornings or nap in the afternoon. It was also cosy and watertight in the rain and wind.
Easy to pitch on your own.
I was a bit nervous of the two doors at festivals but it was easy to secure them and great to open both to let the air through and light in during the day.

I have the Fresh Tarp which makes a good addition to give an outdoor seating area, together they make a very good lightweight festival set up for one or two for a weekend.
Not waking up feeling cooked, not waking up at all
No sliders on guys - I thought it was faulty
