₹ 299 Décathlon
I bought these in Decathlon, Bangalore.
For 500 bucks I wouldn't have asked for anything better.
These pants keep you bone dry even in the heaviest rain fall. I used while riding motor cycle.
You should buy these with your eyes closed
I got this one within 3 days of order. As it claims, it truly lived up to the my expectations and beyond. I was a little skeptical initially as all other rain pants had failed.
Today I encountered one of the heaviest rainfall in the city and i was completely dry all through out my 40km ride. The lower shoe flap is a boon as well. The Zipper at the bottom makes life easier!
These are great. They are typical Decathlon quality. I mostly just use them to protect me from mud on my ride to the station. They are easy enough to get on without having to take your shoes off, which is a huge bonus.
Good Value, easy to put on.
I assumed these were unisex as they did not do a specific women's version. when they arrived the label showed a picture of a man so assume they arent. I ordered a medium and it was fine around the waist but the legs are way too long and the crotch too shallow (tight between the legs) so I gave them to my boyfriend who tried them and although the length was fine he also said the crotch area was too tight/shallow. The ankles were way too baggy also, allowing them to get caught in the chain easily so would need extra straps to secure them. The toe covers are a great idea and I don't see them on other cycling trousers. I wish these had been better designed and a better fit (for both men and women)
very baggy with no way of securing ankle
Thankfully the newer version is not quite as baggy. We need to factor in some baggyness to compensate for the pedaling aciton. Marrying them up with an ankly strap can also help: http://www.decathlon.co.uk/300-city-trouser-clip-yellow-id_8329778.html
We also have a range of slightly more fitted models available ready for the new autumn/winter season:

Not really a fan of cycling over trousers and normally would rather have the wet legs. However, bought these following a very wet ride and knowing I had a two day event coming up, figured I'd wear them if the rain was really bad.
So, the fit. I have relatively short stocky legs (6'1" tall with a 31" inseam) and found myself caught between a L and XL. Opted for L to find fit is snug but okay for cycling but the trousers are very long, even taking into account to pedal rotation, possibly better suited to 33" legs. Still not sure how I am going to address this. Also I feel the seat area could have a slightly higher back when on the bike. Feel conscious of how low it is and relying on jacket to cover this area.
Liked the gaiter type element on the bottom to cover your shoes as well as the weight and pack size. The material feels a little cheap compared to my mountaineering waterproof trousers but it's effective and does the job required.
Overall, if you want a cheap pair of trousers as a just in case measure, you can't go far wrong with these, just watch the length.
Price, weight, pack size.
Seat area small, very long legs.
First big rain fall and I whipped these on within minutes and was completely bone dry. Only thing is that when cycling the area around the calf catches on the pedal arms sometimes due to it being a little baggy in that area, maybe some Velcro straps to tighten the calf area so not to catch on anything. Other than that they are better than the £60+ pound over-trousers I had previously
Sometimes catches on pedal arms around calfs
I originally ordered the medium on reading a previous review noting that the crotch was a bit tight. These were huge, so I exchanged for a small.
The small are nearly equally long and strangely excessively baggy at the shin/calf area.
Admittedly I'm 5'5" but usually I can find clothes to fit. The medium cycling tops for instance are perfect.
Me and my wet legs are disappointed and I'll now have spent £9 returning the things.
Thank you for taking the time to review these trousers.
I'm sorry to read that the sizing did not suit you. I have forwarded your comments on to the product manager for this product.
Regarding the baggyness near the ankle this is designed to allow you to remove the over-trousers without having to remove your shoes, as well as to eliminate excessive rising of the trouser leg whilst pedaling.

Satisfied with the performance of these after regular use on my commute during the winter months.
Could be more roomy around the derrièr.
Coming out of my first winter with this trousers and I'm really pleased with them. Most importantly, they've kept water and dirt off my trousers and shoes, but they've also been easy to put on and take off (because of the zipped bottoms), they're comfortable to wear in the saddle, and they fold up compactly to carry around. Mud just seems to roll off them rather stick, which is good. Only negative is that the distance from the crotch to the waist could be longer.
Waterproof (!), comfortable, protect shoes
Love these trousers, especially for the price. The shoe covers work really well to stop water running in. One negative though is that the elasticated bottoms mean that the trousers sometimes sit on the top of the shoes instead of covering them; this can let water drip into the shoe. I think a better design would be an adjustable elastic at the bottom to open them up when needed. A couple of velcro straps on the lower leg would be great to keep the material away from the chain.
Great quality for the price.
Design could be improved.
