occasional mountain biking (1-hour rides).
A comfortable, very affordable shoe with a semi-rigid sole for more efficient pedalling, that you can also walk in. Lace-up with system to secure laces.
Totally impossible to attach to the peddle even when stationary.
Wont stay on peddle
Sorry to hear about the trouble you have had with these shoes and them not attaching to the pedal as they should. This could be a few possible things that could be causing this issue. I'd suggest that you either return the product for a refund/exchange or get someone in your local store to check the shoes/pedals to see what may be causing the issue you have mentioned.

Nice broad fitting shoes with a strong sole. Very comfortable to wear both whilst cycling and walking. The SPD cleat fittings are recessed so one is not walking on the cleats.
Comfortable fit, cool to wear, good to walk in.
Rely good value shoes for first time users of clipless pedals, the sole is nice and stiff and they click into the pedals easily and more importantly pull off easily! They are quite comfortable once you get used to the stiffness of the sole and give good grip off the bike on muddy trails, I'll probably upgrade in the future for a pair of shimano shoes but will be keeping these as a spare pair, rely couldn't recommend these shoes enough!
Good stiff sole, good grip off the bike
Let a lot of water in
Fantastic shoes, I like them so much I'm considering buying another pair and not fitting cleats so I can wear them all the time.
Comfort, fit and looks
Choice of colours? other than that very little.
Good beginners shoe
