Good value for the chain
Used for 1 week or less
I replaced my old chain to new one in decathlon store Poonamalee. I asked to install new chain link connector to my cycle to guy who installed this new chain set, but he didn’t install the new one instead he used the old chain connector. It clearly shows in the product image with supplied by chain link connector.
Worn out after 6 months mainly only weekend rides
Used for 3 to 6 months
Fitted nicely with quick release but wore incredibly fast. Fully worn at 1.0 on chain measuring tool in approx 6 months (luckily I randomly checked). I mainly only ride once or twice a week.
Response of the brand
Dear Sir,
You are correct in saying that with only weekend riding this chain should easily outlast 6 months. Assuming the cassette and cahinring were not worn and that the chain was oiled correctly, it should last a very long time.
If you feel that this chain is faulty, please return it to us for inspection.

Excellent value
Used for 1 week or less
Searched everywhere for new chain for my 20yr old "Rayleigh Pioneer Deluxe" (5 speed x 2), only to be told "don't make parts for those anymore!". Then I saw this item listed for 3/8 speed. Purchased and fitted this chain and it works perfectly - and its identical in length so no alteration required!.
Chain set of my rock rider 500 bike
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
It is good experience to buy some good quality products from decathlon.
Chain, Great. Quick Release links, Bad
Used for 1 week or less
I replaced my stock 7spd road bicycle chain with this one. I had to reduce just one link (57 to 56) to get to the right size, and to be able to use the provided quick release links. The quality is otherwise superb. But one side of the QR link fitting isn't smooth. Under no amount of force does it go to full link extension i.e. the correct length for use. I've done just one short ride since, and I can see an elbow bend at the link each time the link emerges from the rear cogs. Not affected shifting yet. But I'm worried about causing undue wear to crank and cog sets because of the difference in link length. Will update this if things improve.
For the record, I have more than 20,000km behind me, and have changed QR chains from B'Twin before for my other road bike.
Very good and friendly

Excellent value for money, robust and easy to install. I have been replacing my MTB chain every few hundred miles and I always use this same chain.
Low quality
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
It disconnected two times at the connecting link, during the ride rushed me into danger, it worn out after 1500km.
Response of the brand
Hello,

Sorry to hear you've had issues with this chain. The chain is made by KMC which is a very well known bike chain brand (often said to be better than Shimano)
Unfortunately the quick link is always the weakest link in the chain no matter than brand. I would expect it to last longer than 1500km though. This could be down to a few things from the wear on the cassette & chain rings if the chain is replacing an old one or how much oil is used on the chain (less is more in this case). More oil on the chain attracts more dirt and dust which in return wears the chain out a lot quicker than if there was very little oil used.

third class product
Used for 3 to 6 months
I have to replace my original 5 cycle chain and whole drivetrain
just after 7 month of use. When asked technician, these people
ways have something to say the truth is that your product is of inferior quality and if one needs to replace chain after every 6 month go for local Indian made product which you can buy at
Very cheap price.
poor quality and low life
Response of the brand
Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to give us a review. The chain getting worn out in 7 months would definitely be bike specific problem and also depends on the number of Kms you have done. We will always try to have the best pricing for our users but today if you find the chain is expensive compared to the local market its is because of the import duties and also the higher quality of the product. I believe you had written a review before and have also contacted the store. If the problem still persists please explain the same to the workshop and they will be able to help you. The crankset needs a check to see if the chain is getting rubbed at certain points.
