Technical Information

1
How to pack your bag for optimal comfort?
Put your bedding at the bottom. Put heavier gear (tent, stove, food) closest to your back. Pack your clothes around these items. The groundsheet can be placed under the flap, the tent goes under the backpack if it doesn't fit inside. Keep your waterproof jacket and fleece to hand. In the pockets, distribute the smaller items that you use during the day (sun cream, map, sunglasses, etc.). If carrying a hydration pack (water bladder), this should be placed in its special pocket along the back.
2
How to adjust the height of your backpack?
Place the adjustment system at the height you think is correct, then adjust the backpack (see. "How to adjust your backpack"). With the belt on the pelvis, put the straps around the front part of your shoulders and the load adjuster straps (sometimes also height-adjustable) at an angle of around 45° (they should never be horizontal or vertical). If during fitting, the back seems too short or too long, readjust it and try again, until it feels absolutely right.
3
How to adjust your backpack?
First, loosen all the straps (shoulder straps, belt, load adjuster straps). Put the backpack on. For backpacks with a capacity of 50 L or more, place the hip belt correctly (it should sit over the pelvis) and tighten it. For smaller backpacks, position the belt around your waist. Tighten the shoulder straps. Finally, adjust the load adjusters to suit you.
4
How is backpack volume measured?
The volume of each backpack is measured using a standardised method: we fill the main compartment as well as each pocket with little balls. We then empty the balls into a graduated container to get the equivalent volume in litres. The measurement is accurate to within a few percentage points. The net weight is that of our reference sample. There may be slight variations.
5
Environmental measurements
The product's environmental impact is calculated over its entire life cycle using various indicators. An overall rating from A to E is provided to help you easily identify the more eco-friendly products by comparing products of the same type (T-shirts, trousers and backpacks, etc.) Decathlon is committed to displaying the environmental information of its products. Good travel unit
Used for 1 week or less
Bag meets required tasks. Comfortable at full load. Not sure of its trekking capabilities as I'm not into it but as travelling unit it's amazing. Lots of space and good materials for the bag build.
value for money
Used for 3 to 6 months
the front loading feature is great, the overhead storage is contrary to how it looks, space is huge.
Great for its price!
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
Great backpack for its price, solid and has great back support and comfort
Great rucksack - all I was looking for
Used for 1 week or less
Large storage space, front opening for organising stuff and easy to pull out, fairly comfortable while carrying on shoulders.
good
Used for 1 week or less
Comfortable, more option, but if it has its own rain cover then it will be amazing.

Quechua forclaz 70 backpack
Used for 1 week or less
Nice looking backpack with easy access to the main compartment using zip, I have used it for a 7 day trip across the mountains in wales and I found a bit difficult to carry everything I needed so I had some modifications done before I left on the trip.
Had to sew 2x clips for attaching water bladder, all straps from the backpack are short length and not enough anchor points to attach things outside.
I had to order 10 metres of strap to do necessary mods.
No rain cover.
When the backpack is full I find it really difficult to use side pockets special when side straps are buckled water bottle will be almost impossible, if you using nalgene 750ml forget..
Overall nice looking backpack... but could be improved.
Excellent Product with a small downside
Used for 3 to 6 months
This backpack is perfect for a week or two of backpacking/trekking. The space available is plenty. Opens from the front, so contents are easily accessible. Has decent amount of compression straps on the outside so you can make the bag fit nicely. The support system is good, but not as good as the newer anti gravity systems, but it does the job pretty well. Can include your sleeping bag at the bottom with a flap separating it from other contents. Only downside is that the sleeping bag compartment is not separately accessible from the bottom, which makes taking out and putting in the sleeping bag a bit cumbersome. Otherwise it is a nice bag which will hopefully last long.
Amazing!
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
Lovely backpack. Slightly pricey but good quality. Am still a little skeptical about the back straps as they look flimsy but have been assured it's 100% replaceable under warranty, which is great!
