Test
Our design team is based at the foot of the Mont Blanc, in Haute-Savoie (France). All year round, our designers create and develop products that are appealing, simple and technologically advanced. These are then ruthlessly tested in the field because we believe that the only way to continually improve our products is to test them under the real-life conditions that you will experience.

Product test
We've tested the material in a climate-controlled room in order to determine its performance level. The results demonstrated the thermo-regulating properties of wool. Indeed, after a physical activity that makes you sweat heavily, wool helps to maintain the temperature of the body while the temperature of a synthetic material drops more rapidly. Merino wool therefore reduces the unpleasant chilling or “freezing" effect.

Maintenance tips
Machine wash at 30°C. Dry flat.

Waistband is too tight.
The waistband in these tights is so tight it cuts into you like a vice.
Something must be wrong with the size of elastic used in these leggings as everything else fit well (leg length and leg width). For reference I am a UK size 10 on the smaller side and 170cm tall. I bought the size S and honestly the waistband would have been the equivalent of a UK size 6.
Returned for a refund.
Response of the brand
Good afternoon,

Sorry to hear that you found the Techwool 190 Women's Wool Trekking Tights on the small. Our sizing system is unfortunately on the smaller side and a size 10 is more likely to be a Size M. If you liked them, I would recommend going back to the store and trying on a Size M and hopefully you will love them instead.

Very good
Used for 1 week or less
Bought for my daughter
WONDERFUL LEGGINGS, SHAME ABOUT THE WAISTBAND!
Used for 1 week or less
Bought these for running and they're great for keeping me both cool and warm but the waist band is so tight and uncomfortable hence the 3 stars otherwise it would be perfect! I did try a size bigger but it way too big. If it had a normal leggings waist band it would be so much better.
comfortable but not durable
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
I used these tights for two months, every other day, and they started falling apart. Of course, the product is cheaper than other merino wool products out there, but not so cheap that i would be okay with purchasing new ones evey third month. I used them for a lot of hiking, but two months? The fabric is falling apart next to the stiching on the between the thighs, and on the side of the hips on the left side.
Very thin and comfortable
Falls apart after two months
Fit perfectly
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
The waistband is extremely comfortable. Have found other baselayer leggings to have waistbands which dig in and leave marks. Lovely and warm under a pair of jeans in the -6 degrees we have had lately. Only slight criticism for me is they felt short in the leg and I am only 5ft 6 and have 31" inside leg so pretty average in body stats. So far have washed well and not shrunk. Would buy again.
Extremely comfortable and warm
Excellent
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
This is light and warm. The waiste is loose enough to be comfortable. I also use it as pyjamas trousers when I need to travel light.
there grrrrreat!
Used for 3 to 6 months
I'm gonna get more of these! Great in the chilly weather. Normally putting another layer on can mean sweating and that Michelin man feeling, but not so with these. Keeps just the right temperature and still fully flexible. I've been using them hill climbing, including scrambly bits, horse riding and cycling.
warm, but not too warm. they dont hinder movement
cant think of any negatives
