Technical Information

1
Protection from UV - PROFILTER
The knit of the TRIBORD UV-resistant product blocks at least 98% of UVB radiation and 95% of UVA (UPF 50+). With respect to the EN-13758-2 standard, this guarantees effective protection from the sun. It can be used both in and out of the water, for water or nautical sports. The direct integration of ceramic particles in the fibre of the product provides durable protection with time, even after washing.
2
Quick drying
The polyester textile naturally allows rapid drying after being in the water. Additional water-repellent treatment prevents water absorption to limit shivering if wind is present. Drying is also facilitated. The effects of this treatment will wear off after 5 or 6 machine washes, so to increase the lifetime of the treatment, it is preferable to rinse in fresh water rather than wash with detergent.
3
Behaviour in the sun
Although this T-shirt allows protection from the sun, phenomena such as reflections (from the water, sand, etc.), heat, time of day, etc., must be taken into account. When you wear this T-shirt, you must follow the relevant conduct: sunglasses, hat or cap, regular application of adapted sun cream, drinking regularly, etc.
4
What does UPF 50+ mean?
UPF is a sun protection factor (Ultra Violet Protection Factor) and is standardised worldwide. It defines the protection level of a fabric and more precisely the proportion of UV rays it lets through. To meet the standards, it must block at least 95% of UV rays. UPF 50+ means that the fabric blocks at least 95% of UVB and 98% of UVA rays.
5
Sand-proof component
The product's knit reduces the hold of sand in the textile.
6
Loose fit
This UV-resistant T-shirt has a loose cut to provide good ease of dressing. If you benefit from better comfort when moving particularly to limit irritation, it is preferred to use a more close-fitting model.
7
Stays in place
This Tribord UV-resistant T-shirt has a front loop so that you can thread the swimsuit cord for better maintenance when exercising.

Test
All of our sun protection components are laboratory tested by our engineers. They meet the current standard: EN 13758-2. We conduct tests on all of the materials used before starting production. We also have our own measuring equipment in our laboratories to supplement the tests conducted in external laboratories. The products are laboratory-tested when wet and dry as well as in use whilst worn (with the stretch that occurs during use).

Product test
Developed and tested by our design teams in Hendaye, France. The components used for this product are laboratory tested to ensure the best possible quality and durability.

Maintenance tips
Rinse in fresh water after each use. Do not leave to dry in the sun.
