Additional recommended products
Care products: waterproofing spray or liquid in the machine To renew the fabric's water repellent properties and optimise performance throughout the lifespan of your garment.
7
Waterproof component
This garment has been shower-tested using 60 litres of water/sqm/hour for 2 hours. This test reproduces the average conditions of a rain shower in the mountains.
8
Component breathability
To find out whether a fabric is breathable, we test its evaporative resistance or RET (based on the ISO 11092 standard). The lower the fabric's resistance, the more water vapour generated by physical activity evaporates, and the higher the fabric's breathability. For example: RET < 9 = extremely breathable fabric / 9
9
Water repellency
A fabric is water repellent when it allows water slide over its surface without seeping in. This prevents the fabric from swelling, and keeps it lightweight, breathable and warm. The water repellent property is achieved by treating the fabric's exterior. This treatment must be renewed throughout the garment's lifetime (recommended after every three washes). All Quechua waterproof jackets have received water-repellent treatment.

The environmental impact of each product is calculated for the product's entire life cycle, using different indicators. A general ABCDE mark is attributed to help you identify the best environmental performance by comparing products to each other (t-shirts, rucksacks, etc). Can't sustain even 15 minutes of rain.
Used for 1 week or less
I bought this as the product description page states this garment has been shower-tested using 60 litres of water/sqm/hour for 2 hours and it is waterproof but while using it I found that water was seeping from pockets and i got wet in 15 minutes. I think, Rain cut hiking jacket it more reliable than this. I hope Quechua will improve the quality of this product. I am disappointed for the first time bcz of this product.
Fault in design of the product.
Used for 1 week or less
I had used this product and notice that water was seeping through the zip and also the pockets. I think this might be because of the design and low quality zip material used in this product
Response of the brand
Hello Rishabh Jain,

Thanks for your feedback on the Arpenaz 100 rain jackets. I apologize for the inconvenience caused to you by our product.

To give a technical insight on the jacket, the arpenaz series of jackets are meant for protection from the rain and wind for a hiker in the lowlands. They come with 2000 mm waterproofing from the results of water column test used to test the waterproofing of fabrics. A 2000 mm fabric can withstand a rain for 2 hours on the lowlands.

If you can let me know the usage you are looking for, it would be great for us to suggest the right jacket for your usage.
