looked good with lot of storage space .. side pockets to hold bottle is so wrongly placed -- you need to ask your fellow trekker to hand it u and put it back after u are done ...if you put straps above the bottle than putting it back is a problem. no bottom storage..
the thumb loop stitches gave up on my first trek ..
not worth buying
it has been 3 weeks since I bought this online. I already have a 50 L symbium backpack fro,m decathlon and wanted a smaller backpack that could double up as a daypack for my EBC trek. 1. it is not as good as the symbium. Even when fully packed, the symbium is so light and non-demanding that I hardly feel it. I had used it during the ABC trek and was very happy with it. 2. The 40litre is very capacious since it has only one compartment- it doesnt even have a pouch to hold the water bladder! I found that very surprising and was disappointed. It does have an opening for the bladder pipe to come out- so thats something at least. 3. the side pockets are not really that accessible and are a little awkward to use because of the side buckles for the main bag flap 4. it has no rain cover...that to me is a big negative. So I went ahead and bought a separate raincover...but the question is where do we store it? and how do we keep the cover clipped so it doesnt fly off in the wind/ heavy rain?? 5. its just really a dumping bag since it has only one huge pocket---some may like that...but after i have used it thrice now, I am not in favour of it---one has to pull out all the stuff inside to get to what one wants--not everything can be packed as per anticipation 6. the chest strap is very awkwardly placed- esp for female users ...its not convenient at all..to me a big minus 7. the ventilation system is good and i am happy with it 8. the waist strap has a tiny pocket which is good for keeping some small snacks or a small mobile phone etc...
On the whole 5/10. Some people may want it exactly like this...then go for it! I am a little unhappy...I would request Quechhua to make a symbium type bag of 40litres....I would happily take that!
Nice bag, was able to stuff a lot of things... But the bag starts too lean backwards, even though the lease is tighten to get fullest...
Keep it up
Wearing and tearing of outer material must come under warranty. If it has Warranty of outer material then what are the term and con.
Nice bag under this range.
Warranty must cover outer material warranty too.

It should be waterproof as this is made for tracki
Thanks for your feedback on the Forclaz 40 Air backpack.
The Quechua hiking backpacks are not made waterproof as it would require waterproof tapes on every stitching to stop water from leaking into the bag and also the fabric to be coated with waterproof material/membrane. With constant usage, friction between the items in the bag it is very easy to get the inner waterproof tapes and coating to get damaged therefore a much simpler, practical and cheaper solution is to cover the backpack with a rain cover or have a rucksack liner inside or both of them(if you know the weather will be really bad). This practice is very common among hikers/trekkers and I use my backpack in the same way.
Here is the link for the backpack rain cover that will suit your backpack.
However if you are looking for a smaller capacity solution for really short walks, we offer an ultra light accessory waterproof bag which is designed to carry your small belongings while keeping them dry. Here is the link.
I am available at your disposal should you have any further questions.

A lightweight rucksack that can hold a lot of stuff. Best part is the comfort it provides. Besides being lightweight, it has the AIR-Circulation design to keep your back reasonably dry during long treks. I wish a zippered deep mesh pocket was provided on one side.
The design for air-circulation
Need much more pouches

I bought this so I could do a walk and overnight camp on the Pennine Way while my Exped was in for repair. I managed to fit in my tent and all my kit for an overnight camp. Well impressed. It was lightweight , great colour. The pockets fitted in my water bottles and my tent poles. Really comfy and performed as well as the more expensive Exped. For the money this is such a good buy. The guarantee and warranty for 10 years how do they do it. I am so impressed with decathlon. The customer service was great and it arrived within 2 days. I am someone who will give negative feedback when warranted but this pack for £30 was great. Did 16 miles and it was so comfy lived it.
The strap holders need padding under them the plastick tends to dig into the skin not comfortable
I'm sorry to hear about your inconvenience with this product. I have already forwarded your feedback to our product manager in France.
