Technical Information

Pitching/taking down
Classic dome assembly: poles set up with bedroom and then flysheet assembled over top. Reverse procedure to take down.
1 upper rear air vent, space between flysheet and ground all around tent: to allow air to circulate between bedroom and flysheet, for improved breathability and to limit natural formation of condensation.
Sun protection
The flysheet fabric filters UV rays and has an SPF of 30. Please note: a significant amount of UV radiation can pass through a single open door: protect your skin.
All Quechua tents are laboratory tested (entire tent under 200 L/sqm/h for 4 hours) as well as field tested. (2,000 mm PU coated polyester flysheet, Polyethylene ground sheet, 120 g/sqm, all seams are sealed with thermobonded tapes). Breathable polyester bedroom under flysheet helps prevent contact with drops of condensation that can form on the inside of the flysheet.
Wind resistance
We test all our tents in a wind tunnel on a rotating platform to expose each side of the tent to the wind. A properly assembled tent with all the guy ropes properly positioned around the tent should remain habitable in wind speeds of up to 40km/h measured near ground level (Force 5).
A score for comparing products' environmental impact
The product's environmental impacts are calculated across its entire life cycle using various indicators. An overall ABCDE score is allocated to help you more readily identify the products with the best environmental performance by comparing the same type of product (T-shirts, trousers, backpacks, etc.) . Very good
Great product !
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
When I took the product home and tried assembling the tent, the tent poles were wrong. Apparently the guy packed some other Trent's pole with my tent
I had to come again the next day to the store to get the right tent poles.
I'll request that the store guys be a little more careful.

Got a 2 man tent in the cover of a 2+
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
Though most of the time I am a fan of decathlon, but on this occasion, I feel like cheated :(

I bought a 2+ man tent from decathlon Bangalore. Since I trusted in the brand, I did not open and check it. I then moved to the UK and started using my tent and then realise it was a smaller 2 man tent inside the cover of a 2+ man tent. Had spoken to the store at Bangalore, no help so far :(
Response of the brand
Hello Vinayak,
Sorry to hear about the mis-packaging of an Arpenaz 2 tent inside the bag of the 2+. I would recommend contacting the customer loyalty team by following this link:

Excellent, easy to use and easy to carry.
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
Excellent, easy to use and easy to carry. Seems durable.
Ok tent stood up to wet weather. Ties on inner of flysheet that tie to fibreglass poles are ridiculously cheap and extremely nasty. What on earth were your quality control thinking. Previous models had proper velco tags to tie flysheet to poles not ties. The nylon ties are not even hemmed
Excellente product
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
I bought this tent recently to take it to a festival. The tent is beautiful, spacious, very easy to assemble and fold. It worked very well on a windy and wet night. I am very satisfied with my purchase :-)

Bought as a festival tent for son. Survived 4 days of torrential rain and no leaks. Performed better than pop up types. Reasonable spec and quality for price. Only negatives were the flimsy tie in tags on the inner tent to attach to poles. Better to add sleeving to the inner tent and also additional peg points to fly sheet would be a good idea. To be fair I couldn't compare it with my other tents, quasar, van go,Pheonix phreak or even an ultimate tramp but at the price it's certainly worth a punt.
Good price for a reasonable spec tent.
Tie tags for poles. Should be sleeved
