the rubber at the end of the tights should be more efficient because slides upper easily
i love this kit! i have it in 3 different colors. its really comfortable even on 3 hour + rides. its great value for money and it looks good too. i crashed at over 35mph on a descent this week and there wasn't a mark on the kit, no rips or pulls unlike me that had a good bit of road rash. i really rate decathlon bikes and kit.
Purchased -Aug 2016 Usage to date - circa 4000 miles Durability/condition - as new (remarkable). Product comparison:
I purchased these a few months after purchasing (at three times the cost) another brand of "pro" shorts. Both the Btwin and the other brand have been used/abused to the same degree. The other pair with the pad that's meant to be superior and which comes in three sizes to suit the rider anatomy are comfy, but not as comfy as the Btwin ones. It's immediately noticeable.
The other pair have deteriorated cosmetically and lost some shape. The Btwin ones look new and have retained their shape. I don't know whether I'll have to replace them this year, but I don't think I will.
Both shorts are washed after each ride. So to date that's about 40 washes each.
Both were ridden consistently on rides of only 100 miles in duration last year.
This year I'm riding a mix of distances.
I now wear the other brand occassionally on very short rides. Soon they'll be retired.
Anything over that and it's the Btwin ones. I have the same "longs" and they've kept me happy with the same durability and comfort/value for money.
Well done to the product designers/quality control.
Excellent value...especially after 30+ miles!
I did the Paris - Roubaix challenge in these shorts - a little discomfort at the end due in part to losing weight and the shorts not quite fitting correctly any longer but nothing major . I will be buying another pair in a smaller size for the rest of the year.
Previously had the 700 Aerofit which I was very happy with and these have nicer straps. Raced all season in them and had two 14 hour/220+ miles days as well.
They're on the tighter side of the fit - very Euro as it were, so maybe consider getting a size larger if you usually buy American/UK brand short.
I've always worked on the basis that you get what you pay for, and also that good cycling shorts are a worthwhile investment for comfort on long rides. Because of this, I've resisted trying a pair of the shorts, assuming that because they are comparatively inexpensive, they would be rubbish. However, when I saw an offer on them, I decided to take a punt as I'd read good reviews. I'm never going to be a snob again - these are much more comfortable for me than any of the other more expensive pairs I own.
Extremely comfortable short, very stretchy but with good support. Little improvements compared to the previous model (bought in France 5 years ago): wide and rigid top shoulder straps which avoid the straps to wrinkle and get uncomfortable. Wide silicon band on the end of the legs so they don't come up at all while riding.
Any chance of a "UK/Australia" design with the white band on the right (just kidding).
Equivalent to a $200+ short in other leading brands.
None so far
I bought these a few years ago, and they are probably my best fitting pair of bib shorts.
when I first bought them I didn't find them the most comfortable, but not as a more regular rider I see their benefits.
These are probably my second best pair now, but the others are three times the price Assos!
Great value, I am becoming a convert to bTwin as a whole
Right level of padding, firm, great fit
Bought two pairs of these to replace some older Decathlon compression bibshorts that i'd worn to death.
For me the padding us some of best I've used and really comfy. The new legs hems are good and fit well.
However the shoulder straps are pretty awful. I can see that Decathlon have tried to make them more comfortable but unfortunately they tend to slip off the shoulders especially when wearing a base layer leaving you feeling like you need to constantly adjust them.
Shame really as like the're great from the waist down.
