Excellent product. It's slim not broad so doesn't interfere with pedalling. Easy to mount and dismount from rack. No worries about inclement weather. Great product for bike touring.
A number of adverse reviews have commented that this bag is not waterproof. I have found it sufficiently waterproof, but not very durable. I bought my bag in mid-April 2018. I have noticed that at the bottom there is an area where the waterproof coating is coming away. That might not be so terrible, but for the fact that the fabric is also fraying in the same place, and eventually will give way.
I am not sure why this has happened. The external base of the bag is never in contact with anything and cannot be subject to friction. I would not expect a stone thrown up from the road to do the damage. I only generally carry the following inside the bag:
1) Kryptonite Evolution D-lock plus cable
2) Smaller B'Twin D-lock
3) Saddle bag containing inner tube, small multi-tool and puncture repair kit
4) Small hand pump
Typical weight of the bag plus contents is rarely more than 4kg and usually less, so the bag is not being over-stressed.
The bag has functioned well and to purpose over the last nine months, but I have doubts about its durability.
Thank you for the review of this bike bag. I will indeed forward this on to the Riverside team at Decathlon Cycles. I would be very keen to get a few photos to send to the Decathlon team (if you can). In the meantime, please return it to us for an exchange or a refund.

I don't know what you people are talking about. Did you stab a few holes in them with a knife and then force a garden hose in there or something? I took 2 of these panniers on a 12 day motorcycle tour of northern Vietnam in some of the most torrential rain I have ever been in and everything inside the panniers were bone dry. Sure, they needed the mud and stuff cleaned off at the end of each day (which I did in the shower BEFORE taking anything out of them) and they were brilliant. They were flexible enough to be strapped on to the side of the bike in any configuration and were ALWAYS completely dry at the end of the day. Check out the yellow ones if these are being discontinued. You people complaining about their lack of waterproofness mustvmu been riding round with them wide open as well. Fantastic buy!
Bought it to cycle to work. Haven't been tested under strong rain yet. Practical, easy to install day in day out.
When this product was sold to me I was assured that its a waterproof but sorry to say its not at all waterproof
Thank you for taking time out to review our product. I am sorry our product did not meet your expectation. Please feel free to return the product at a nearest Decathlon store.
Hope this helps. Thank you!
Used 2 of these panniers on a cycling trip from Brighton to Paris over 3 days. They are strong & easy to open/close when stopping. Good fixing system allows them to be taken off easily, and useful carrying handle. Can't comment on their waterproofing as it was 30°C with not a cloud in sight. Would recommend this pannier as good value.
Perfectly fits my 15 inch laptop bag.The bag sits snugly in the side of my bike.Perfect for someone venturing out on the bike in this monsoon.
Been lucky enough to not have tested these in the rain, but they are easy to use and have decent capacity. The finishing on the rivets inside the bag is a bit rough and could scratch laptops etc. if not protected.
The strap to stop the bags from swinging is Velcro. The straps are slightly fiddly to get to and are a little too short to reach round both parts of my b'twin pannier rack.
Overall, I'm happy with the bags.
There's not a lot out there to compete at this price point. Make no mistake, Ortleib's or Overbaord's these are not, but they are waterproof and sensible in terms of their rack fittings, and they are a LOT cheaper. Got them for a cycle touring fortnight away, and they were just the job. If I were going further and longer, or using for a daily commute, then I might consider something more durable and robust. As they are - good value for money and sensible compromise on cost v quality.
I bought 2 of these bags to go on my bike to commute, I have had them 2 months and one of the bags has a few small holes in it, they seem to wear quickly. They are also not waterproof, more water resistant. They can handle very light rain, however, I have needed to be out in heavy rain and they do not cope at all, all my kit was soaking wet including my work stuff which includes papers and a laptop (oops). They are a great size for me and just what I needed, however, I feel they would need replacing after a year and I am looking at something else.
