Used 2 of these panniers on a cycling trip from Brighton to Paris over 3 days. They are strong & easy to open/close when stopping. Good fixing system allows them to be taken off easily, and useful carrying handle. Can't comment on their waterproofing as it was 30°C with not a cloud in sight. Would recommend this pannier as good value.
Perfectly fits my 15 inch laptop bag.The bag sits snugly in the side of my bike.Perfect for someone venturing out on the bike in this monsoon.
Been lucky enough to not have tested these in the rain, but they are easy to use and have decent capacity. The finishing on the rivets inside the bag is a bit rough and could scratch laptops etc. if not protected.
The strap to stop the bags from swinging is Velcro. The straps are slightly fiddly to get to and are a little too short to reach round both parts of my b'twin pannier rack.
Overall, I'm happy with the bags.
There's not a lot out there to compete at this price point. Make no mistake, Ortleib's or Overbaord's these are not, but they are waterproof and sensible in terms of their rack fittings, and they are a LOT cheaper. Got them for a cycle touring fortnight away, and they were just the job. If I were going further and longer, or using for a daily commute, then I might consider something more durable and robust. As they are - good value for money and sensible compromise on cost v quality.
I bought 2 of these bags to go on my bike to commute, I have had them 2 months and one of the bags has a few small holes in it, they seem to wear quickly. They are also not waterproof, more water resistant. They can handle very light rain, however, I have needed to be out in heavy rain and they do not cope at all, all my kit was soaking wet including my work stuff which includes papers and a laptop (oops). They are a great size for me and just what I needed, however, I feel they would need replacing after a year and I am looking at something else.
I bought this pannier bag 4 days ago and have used it for 2 days only and unfortunately there is already a tear in the bottom of the bag.
I have only been using it to commute to work and not carrying many things, but will unfortunately now have to return the product. It's disappointing because I like the design and the size of the bag, but I didn't realise at the time of purchase that the base was so thin, otherwise I would have thought twice about buying it.
I bought these a week or so ago for a lengthy bike ride. I'd read a few reviews and some were not very complementary. However I thought that for the price in comparison to big brands they had to be worth a try.
In use I found the bags easy to fit and waterproof in light rain (not tested in really heavy rain). They were secure and stayed put on the roughest of tracks. As they are quite compact they didn't interfere with my pedaling. I opted for the bright fluorescent yellow option to increase visibility from the side and that certainly worked!
I bought these (along with many other Btwin products) to kit my bike out for a 2 month cycle through patagonia. I'm not a regular tourer so didn't want to spend hundreds on famous German brands. However, high in the Argentine mountains we got rained on and all my gear within the panniers, including my down jacket and sleeping bag, were saturated. It made for a very unpleasant and extremely cold night. I thought I might have secured them incorrectly, so tried different methods, but every time it rained (and it rained a lot) my gear got wet and each pannier had a puddle at the bottom. I eventually lined them with bin bags which kept my clothes dry, but still meant there was a puddle I had to empty at the bottom.
Maybe they are splash proof, but they are certainly not waterproof, or watertight as claimed. In fact a simple test of filling them with water will prove this! I would also second others' remarks about the useless top strap. Very disappointed. I ended up ditching them in Chile, save me lugging them back to England.
Recommended for nipping the local shops, but not long distance in wet conditions.
Not fit for purpose or as advertised
I am very sorry that the product did not do the intended job in stopping your luggage getting wet while out touring the continent. I will forward your detailed review to our product manager to review the product itself.

Have hoad for about 2 weeks and within
that time the bag has jumped off about 5
times when going over bumps in road and
up 2-3" kerbs.
velcro straps are not fit for purpose.with the
lower strap now broken after the last time it
jumped / fell of my pannier rack.
bag only good if you have minimal items in it.
bag is now useless so taking it back to store
to get money back..
affordable and found to be waterproof
terrible securing arrangements.
Thank you for posting this review. I had discussions with the designer this morning and the the strap holding the bag in place has apparently been modified. The current version should have this improved fastening.
For 2017, the new model will come with plastic clips which are very secure.
Please return your bag to us for a refund/exchange

Bought this as I didn't want to dish out for Ortliebs, plus this is my first pannier. I've been using for a few weeks now for 12 miles cycle a day (30 min each way, on roads or shared pavements).
I was hesitant before buying because the attachment mechanism isn't shown in the photos, there are two long clips on the top part to attach to the rack, which can be tightened using an allen key to adjust for rail diameter. The bag itself can be taken off the rack by a smaller handle on the back that I also use for carrying (which I think is similar to other bags). There's also a vertical top velcro strap and a horizontal lower velcro strap, both of which haven't come off an any of the rides (which can be quite bumpy). After the first couple of rides, I'm now happy that the bag is well secured. Only negative would be that it can be fiddly to attach the lower velcro strap, as various bits of the wheel/rack get in the way.
The bag has stayed dry on the inside a drizzly rain (to give an impression I had to wear a waterproof but jeans weren't fully soaked). Found it will accommodate laptop, notepad, medium sized tupperware box, bike handpump and 2 spare inner tubes and a spare t shirt; I can also squeeze in spare jeans on top of these with a little extra space.
I've found this bag to be of great value, and would thoroughly recommend!
Really good value
bottom velcro strap a bit fiddly
