Made for Our hiking designers have developed these socks for mountain hikes lasting one to several days. These hiking socks will protect your feet and bring you additional comfort during mountain hikes lasting one or more days. Sold in packs of two pairs in the same colour.
At the heel and toe, a polyamide component mixed with a second PTFE-coated polyamide thread is used to reduce the rubbing that causes blisters. Under no circumstances, however, can the socks offer 100% protection from blisters. Blisters usually appear when our skin is weakened by chafing, generally caused by socks, shoes or foreign bodies. Moisture also plays an important role because it weakens our skin.
Characteristics of the yarn
The heel and toe of the sock are made of a Friction-free polyamide to help reduce rubbing. The rest of the sock is made of a very quick-drying polyamide to stop your feet feeling wet. The towelling sections offer added thickness for extra comfort. Ventilated woven sections to help wick away perspiration.
Choosing the height of your socks
We offer 3 sock heights for hiking. "Short", which are slightly higher than the shoe but still under your ankle bone. "Mid", which protect your ankle bone by stopping just above. These 2 heights are designed to be worn with low-top shoes. "High", which are perfect for the use of high-top hiking boots stopping just below the calf.
Choosing the right sized hiking sock for you
Each of our sock sizes fits 4 shoes sizes (3/5, 6/8, 9/12, 13/15). The elasticated properties of the elastane fibre used in all our socks helps them adjust to your foot and stay in place. We all have different feet in terms of length, proportion and size: it is important to try your hiking socks on in store before buying them. Also try your socks in use before leaving for a long hike
Pack of 2 pairs
This model is sold in packs of 2 pairs of socks in the same colour.
Store your socks in a dark, dry place.
All our socks are tested in the lab and in the field to ensure the following: toxicology, UV resistance, resistance to wear, accelerated ageing and resistance to repeated washing. Users then approve our socks in use, in the Mont Blanc valley.
