In the heel and the tip, the component is a polyamide spun with a second thread of PTFE-coated polyamide that helps to reduce the risk of blisters forming.
These socks cannot protect 100% from blisters. Blisters usually appear when our skin is weakened by chafing, caused by socks, shoes or foreign bodies.
Damp also plays an important role as it weakens the skin.
Characteristics of the threads
The heel and toe of the sock are made from friction free polyamide to reduce rubbing. The rest of the sock is made from a fast drying polyamide to reduce the feeling of having sweaty feet. Specific loop areas are made thicker for greater comfort. Well ventilated knit zones to wick away seat.
How to choose the height of your socks
We have produced 3 heights of hiking socks. "Short" socks that reach over your shoes but remain under the ankle. The “mids" are slightly higher than your ankle to protect it. These 2 heights are designed to be worn with low shoes. "High" socks are ideal with hiking boots as they are slightly lower than the calf.
Choosing your hiking sock size
Our socks are available in 4 different shoe sizes (35/38, 39/42,43/46, 47,50). We use elastane in all our socks, so that they fit closely to your feet and remain in place. We all have feet of different lengths, proportions and sizes: to do this, it is important to try your hiking socks in the store before buying them. Also try out your socks before going on a long hike
This model is sold in packs of 2 pairs of socks of the same colour.
Store the entirely dry socks in a dry and dark place.
All of our socks are tested in the laboratory and in real-life situations to validate the following elements: Toxicology, UV resistance, abrasion-resistance, accelerated ageing and resistance to repeated washing. Users then validate the our socks in the valley of Mont Blanc.
