It has a simple design and is very easy to use, can be used with different valves and is an overall great product. More colours may be a good idea worth investing in. Not quite sure what little rubber piece with + on it is for though so a manual may be useful
Low pressure, more energy consumption.
Thank you for taking time out to review this product. We regret the negative experience you have had due to this product. The 500 Hand Pump is designed to be used during an emergency situation such as a puncture. In case you are using this product for regular use, we recommend you use of a floor pump.
Bad pamp plz give me details to how to use it in road bike
Thank you for taking time out to review this product. The BTWIN 500 handpump is designed to be used as an emergency pump during a ride to fill or top-up air after a puncher. The pump is compatible with all valves types of valves (Pincher, Dunlop, and Schrader). The PSI limit for this pump is at 6 bar which is around 85 PSI. If you have a road bike with thin tyres (32 mm and lesser) it is most likely to have Pincher Valve with optimum PSI recommendation close to 100. To get a clear clarification we advise you to visit the nearest Decathlon Store along with your cycle so that the cycling sports teammates there could give you the correct advice.
For daily usage of filling the air in your bicycle tyre, we recommend a floor or a foot pump.
Few months back I bought cycle pump BTwin 500. Initially I used to carry my pump in my hydration pack(BTwin 2L) and had no issues. But few days back I decided to mount it on my cycle with the help of provided rack which comes with pump. After 2 ride I noticed that pump does not lock properly and its handle becomes loose which I am showing in the attached pic.I am not sure why this will happen,it may be due to road vibration,as I understand this could be quality issue with the product itself.
Also please note based on my purchase couple of cycling buddies also bought same model and I don't want to disappoint them in future with the product.
I will really appreciate your attention to this email and corrective action for same.
Thank you for taking the time to give us your review. There are 2 problems mentioned in the review and there is a solution for both. The pump holder has to be facing upwards when you install on the frame. This will prevent the pump from falling down during vibrations. Second, the nozzle of the pump should be facing towards the pedals and not the handlebar. This will prevent the pump leaver from sliding downwards while riding. I remain available for more questions.
This product proved to be absolutely useless. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
Thank you for taking the time to give us your review. Please give us more information as to why the product was not helpful and we will be happy to guide you through the usage or provide effective solutions.
I had this pump for a couple of months; I lost it because it fell out of the holder. It worked well wile it lasted so I was disappointed to loose it. It is worth keeping this in mind when purchasing this as it fell out quite often- not just a one off.
Such a brilliant little bike pump
My bike has Schrader valves. It fits well with the rear wheel valve but not with the front wheel valve. Air leaks with the front valve. To avoid air leak I have to precisely align the pump against the valve and support with my fingers. A very little jerk while pumping leads to air leak. But all these problems are with front valve alone. Weird!!
Works very well for the rear wheel. With very less effort, I am able to get the pressure in tube.
Perfect small pump for everyday use.
I have purchased a few months back. now it is not working. I couldn't used it even once as it is so tight and unable to pump to the required tyre pressure
Thank you for taking the time to give us your review.
The hand pump is a life-saving product when you have a flat on your ride and need to fix it. You can fill enough pressure for you to take it to the nearest petrol bunk where you can inflate up to full PSI levels. However, if the pump is being used to as a replacement for a floor pump where you are trying to fill to maximum PSI every time you take your bike for a ride, it will be tiresome. The pump's piston will get harder to pump as you reach higher PSI levels. Though it is possible to fill the recommended pressure it will be difficult provided you are using the best techniques.
In your case, if you say the pump is not working, please let us know which part. You can always carry your pump to the nearest decathlon store and ask for a fix. If we find that the product is defective we will replace it for you.
