Technical Information

1
Crosscontact sole
The sole design is the product of a lengthy research and development process conducted in our laboratories, combined with a special rubber formulation to optimise grip and traction. As requirements are not the same, we automatically look for the best compromise to develop on both soft and dry terrain.
2
Waterproofing test
Footwear waterproofing test: these boots, which have been tested in the laboratory and the field, have a breathable, waterproof membrane for optimum protection in the rain. First, the boot is immersed in water with pressurised air inside to check that no bubbles form on the surface. Next, shoes are fitted to a mechanical arm that simulates walking and half immersed in water so we can test that the inside remains perfectly dry.
3
Waterproofing level
During the waterproofing test, we test 3 levels of waterproofing: 2000 flexes (around 4 hours of walking), 4000 flexes (around 8 hours of walking) and 8000 flexes (around 16 hours of walking). Naturally, after this test or in use, the boot regains its original waterproofing once dry.The MH100 Mid waterproof boot passed the test involving 4000 flexes.
4
Prolonging waterproofness
A boot's waterproofing is often undermined by water getting in from the top of the shoe. To keep your feet dry for longer, we recommend wearing waterproof gaiters or mini-gaiters to protect the top part of the boots and prevent water, pebbles, sand, etc. from getting inside. To restore the original water repellent properties and prevent staining the outer surface, spray with a waterproof spray several times per year.

Buying tips
For hiking, try taking one shoe size up from your usual to ensure optimum comfort when going downhill and to prevent your toes from hitting the toe box. Tip: keep your nails short and, before making your descent, check that your lacing prevents your foot from sliding towards the front of the boot.

What boot size should I choose?
For hiking, try taking one shoe size up from your usual to ensure optimum comfort when going downhill and to prevent your toes from hitting the toe box. Tip: Before any descent, make sure your nails are cut and check that your laces are tightened to prevent your foot from sliding forward in the shoe.

not waterproof
Used for More than 1 year
Had these for over a year (they need replaced) daily use, slightly waterproof for the first two weeks, now suck water like a sponge, stink and are for the bin. Apart from that comfortable boots, great in summer, terrible in winter NOT waterproof at all, you'll be squelching all the way home!!
Happy
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
Was bought for my husband, he was happy with the fit, we walked for some distance when first worn with no problems.
Great waterproof boots
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
Fabulous fit, very comfortable and look ace. These boots served me well on a days walking in torrential rain and gale force winds up Kinder Scout. Feet stayed nice and dry, no blisters and were comfortable and light whilst scrambling over rocks and peat bog.
Painful
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
After 3wks the boots are finally OK to walk in !! Terrible blisters & a huge amount spent on blister plasters & padded stick on pads due to a ridge across the heel/achilles area. I walk approx 35-40 miles pwk & its been very painful. Have not had this problem with other boot manufacturers & not certai whether I will purchase this style again - will see how it goes over next 6mths & see if there is anymore "challenges" with the boots. Today was the 1st pain free walk in 3wks!!
Medium quality
A parts of rubber grip below the show cut off . In my first freaking. I bought it July 2018. rubber beats are not soo good
Such a wonderful product.
Used for 1 week or less
If you are going for a hiking then don't think for a second to purchase this shoes. It's an all in one package. It's 100% waterproof. You can easily climb rocks and even easily walk on a slippery path. Shoes are very comfortable and yes I didn't even have a shoe bite.
Great boots made for walking !
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
Great boots , comfortable fit , and no problems walking in . First time out a 9 mile walk to Lulworth cove Dorset , no blisters or sore feet !
Not recommended for Sahyadri & western ghats
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
I used this shoes for sar pass trek in the himalayas and it gave excellent results in terms of grip and stability, not even once did it slip or skid.Even while climbing down it gave excellent grip which boosted my confidence in taking faster strides.

However I recently used this shoes for a very simple hike to Bhivpuri waterfalls near karjat. There is hardly an ascend in this hike but it has quite a few streams which we have to cross and the terrain is rocky. The shoes didn’t give any grip and was highly SLIPPERY throughout forcing me to remove the shoes at times and walk.Considering its size I couldn’t even put a socks over the shoew for better grip.

I heard similar reviews from some avid trekkers.I wouldn’t recommend this shoe if you often hike during monsoons in the western ghats and Sahyadri ranges.
Use for hiking in dry weather
Used for 1 week or less
The shoes provide good ankle support and are comfortable over extremely rocky terrain and mud. The waterproofing, as long as one doesn't wade through over- ankle deep streams, is good. However, these are completely useless for grip over slippery mossy rock.
Comfy and durable
Used for 1 week or less
I bought these for my son, he climbed Snowdon in them no problem last week.
