Thermal comfort and windproof
The wind makes the perceived temperature drop considerably.
With an outside temperature of 0°C and 20 km/h winds, it will feel like the temperature is -10°C.
The so-called “windproof” components cancel out this uncomfortable wind chill. They are very effective at reducing heat loss by creating a barrier against the wind.
Jacket hem drawcord
Elastic drawcords and toggles.
The main fabric used throughout the jacket, except at the sides, has a windproof membrane with a breathability of 2814 g/m2 per 24 hrs (according to the JIS 1099 A standard).
Water-repellent property of the component (not to be confused with waterproofing)
The water-repellent property of a fabric is its capacity to make water run off its surface without absorbing it.
This prevents the fabric from soaking up water and keeps it lightweight and breathable. The fabric is made water-repellent by treating its outer surface. However, this property may deteriorate with use.
The water-repellency can be reactivated by putting the jacket through the tumble dryer for 10 minutes at a low temperature.
Recommended additional product
Reactivates the water-repellency of the fabric and optimises the performance of your clothing throughout its life.
A score for comparing products' environmental impact
The product's environmental impact is calculated over its entire life cycle using different indicators.
An overall rating from A to E is given to help you easily identify products with the best environmental performance by comparing and contrasting products of the same type (T-shirts, trousers, backpacks, etc.).
Decathlon actively promotes this environmental rating initiative.
