Care products: Spray or water repellent. To regenerate the fabric's water repellency and optimize the performance of your garment throughout its lifetime. We recommend using these products with each wash.
Thermal comfort and windbreaker
Wind considerably increases the effect of the cold. With an outside temperature of 0°C and 20 km/h winds, it will feel like the temperature is -10°C. "Windproof" components help eliminate the discomfort linked to this "freezing effect". They are very effective at reducing heat loss by creating a barrier against the wind.
Waterproofness of the component (not to be confused with impermeability)
The water repellency of a fabric is its ability to let water slip on its surface without absorbing it. This prevents the fabric from swelling, and keeps it lightweight and warm. Water repellency is obtained by a treatment applied to the outer surface of the fabric. This treatment needs to be renewed during the lifetime of the garment (we recommend each wash). Products are available in our stores. All Quechua Softshells are waterproofed.
A way to compare the environmental impact of products
The environmental impacts of the product are calculated over its entire life cycle and with different indicators. A global ABCDE rating is designed to help you easily identify products with the best environmental performance by comparing products of the same type to each other (T-shirts, pants, backpacks, etc.). Decathlon Is a voluntary actor in this process of environmental signage. For more information:

We remain convinced that only through rigorous testing under real world conditions, like the ones you will be using them in, can we continue to provide you with better products than ever.
