Technical Information

1
Wadding thermal insulation
Thermal insulation will keep your young skiers at the right temperature, neither too hot nor too cold. The garment adapts to the body's physical movement and to the outside environment. Wed'ze uses wadding for insulation to keep the body warm. This synthetic wadding containing polyester stores more or less air, depending on the size of the fibres. So the thicker the wadding, the more air it contains, and the warmer it is.
2
What does water-repellent mean?
Water-repellent fabric allows water to run off its surface without seeping in: the fabric is not waterlogged, it stays light and breathable. You can see drops of water form and roll over the fabric's surface. Fabric is made water repellent by applying a surface treatment. This treatment must be renewed in the course of the garment's lifetime (every 3 washes). All Wed'ze ski jackets have received a water-repellency treatment.
3
How to reactivate the water-repellency of a ski jacket/trousers?
To reactivate a ski jacket's water-repellent properties, we recommend washing your garment inside out using a 30°C synthetic cycle and rinsing thoroughly. You can use your usual detergent, but no softener. Then leave the jacket to fully air dry, laid flat on a clothes horse. Finally, tumble dry your garment the right way around at a low temperature for 10 minutes. The heat will reactivate the fabric's water-repellent properties.
4
Ski pass pocket
You no longer need to get out your ski pass! Your sleeve has a ski pass pocket so you can access the lifts quickly.
5
Customisation
There's a label at the top of the back lining you can write your child's name on to personalise the product. Handy when you want to find your jacket at ski school, nursery or school.

Product test
All Wed’ze products are tested in the same real conditions they’re used in and for which they were designed: in the snow, in the cold and in any of the conditions you're likely to encounter when skiing. The design teams, product managers, engineers and garment designers ensure the product's design corresponds perfectly to its real-world use.

Stockage tips
Store preferably on a hanger and avoid folding, as this can damage the tissue membrane. Make sure that the garment is completely dry before storing in a dry and well-ventilated place.

Maintenance tips
Machine wash at 30°C. Synthetic cycle. Turn inside out. Use a small amount of detergent. No softener. Second spin cycle possible. Dry on a hanger in a warm, well-ventilated place. Do not tumble dry. Do not dry clean.

Doesn't seem warm enough
Used for 1 week or less
In some places there is hardly any filling when jacket is pinched between fingers. Definitely doesn't feel warm enough to withstand a day out in cold, near freezing tempretures. Will return it and buy a more expensive but better jacket instead.
Nice colours, comes up nice around neck
Doesn't' seem warm enough,
Response of the brand
Dear Mrs. Vida,

I am sorry to hear you are unhappy with the product you've chosen. As this is our first price jacket for young children, it won't be as warm as other products in our range. If you're looking for a very warm jacket, in which your child can play in the snow all day, I'd recommend a jacket with more padding, as well as a snowskirt inside to keep the snow from going up the jacket.

Another option is an all-in-one ski suit. For example, this one is a ski suit, but the jacket and trousers can be unzipped to be worn separately: http://www.decathlon.co.uk/sl500-kids-ski-suit-orange-id_8371540.html

I hope this helps you in find the perfect product,
Have a nice day,
