Technical Information

Wadding thermal insulation
The thermal insulation will allow young skiers to remain at the right temperature and not to be too hot or too cold. The garment adapts to the physical behaviour of their body and to the outer environment. Wed'ze uses down insulation to keep the body warm. This synthetic component made from polyester stores more or less air, depending on the size of the fibres. So the thicker the wadding, the more air it contains and the more insulating it is.
What is water repellence?
A water repellent fabric allows water to glide over its surface without absorbing it : The textile does not absorb the water and remains light and breathable. You will observe water droplets form and stream on the fabric’s surface. Fabric is made water repellent by applying a surface treatment. This treatment needs to be renewed during the garment’s lifespan (every 3 washes). All Wed'ze ski jackets benefit from a water repellent treatment.
How can I reactivate the water repellence of a ski jacket/ trousers?
To reactivate the water repellence of a ski jacket, we recommend you wash your garment inside out with a synthetic programme at 30 °C with abundant rinsing. You can use your usual washing powder but no fabric softener. Then let your jacket dry in the open air, flat on a drying rack. Finally turn your garment the right way around, and put it in the tumble dryer, at a low temperature for 10 minutes. The heat will allow the fabric’s water repellent nature to be reactivated.
Ski pass pocket
No need to get your ski pass out! Your sleeve has a ski pass pocket to allow you to access the cable cars quickly.
A label located above the inner lining lets you write your child’s name on it to personalise the product. A very useful trick to find your jacket during a ski lesson, in the creche or at school.
