Technical Information

This carbon fibre, originally designed in Japan, is one of the stiffest on the market and offers an excellent weight-to-stiffness ratio. This stiff fibre confers power and stability to the racket head.
Technology: Tapered Power Shaft
The ARTENGO SR960's tapered, reinforced shaft generates additional power compared with a traditional shaft.
Technology: Tacky Grip
The elastomeric polyurethane gives this grip the best balance between tackiness and absorption for a great feel.
Weight = 145 g (unstrung)
At 145 g (unstrung), your swing will be accelerated meaning that you can transfer this speed to the ball. The weight of the racket's frame (without strings, bumper or grip) is only 120 g, making it nice and light for expert players. This racket's features enable expert players to continue progressing.
Balance = 360 mm (unstrung)
The head-heavy balance (360 mm) generates power.
Head size = 499 cm²
The 499 cm² head creates a racket that makes up for centring errors. The entire racket is therefore more forgiving. Because the head is longer, the strings are also longer so that the ARTENGO SR960 has more power - perfect for expert players.
String pattern = 14 x 17
The string pattern has been designed to give expert players power and control. The strings have been tightened for additional control.
Design and look
This aggressive racket is the ideal partner for expert players looking for power and speed.

Have trialled this racket at Northern Crosby Squash Club. Decathlon very kindly provided us with some test rackets for members to try. Have used it for 1 complete match. The racket is well balanced and offers good power while retaining good feel and control of the ball. Other members will be writing their reviews when they have trialled it.
Review about SR 960 Squash Racket
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
Racket is excellent from speed, weight and grip prospective. Only issue which i faced is grip is getting soften and start coming out.
Enjoying it!

Prefacing this as an intermediate player, about 135-145 matrix.

This is a head heavy racquet which needs to be said in the description! I have only played with balanced racquets so this took a while to get used to! But I think this is an attribute of HH rather than the racquet itself since I find it bit tougher to generate racquet head speed

Focusing on getting racquet earlier, I found this racquet very enjoyable to play with. High accuracy but bit slow on the volley (due to HH). Power is improving as the strings get broken in (bit tight at the start). This has become my regular racquet since I really enjoy the accuracy and digging out of the corners but I have to really move it for the volleys

One of the best features is the handle and the grip. Very very comfortable and its a roundish handle similar to technifibe (i'm not a fan of the rectangle handle of my Head racquets so YMMV depending on what you like). Feedback from striking is comfortable. At this price point, I think it's fantastic.
Response of the brand
Hi Alex! Thank you so much for your detailed review. We're glad you liked the product and hope it'll help you enjoy Squash more. Your feedback on how much time it takes to 'break in to' will be noted, and we'll use it to develop our new models.
See you soon!

After 2-3 sessions the strings loosened. Moreover the strings are of poor quality. I called decathlon for complaint, they said it is endorsed by word no. 3 squash player and connot be bad. But trust me it is. It has no power. It is expensive considering similar range products from Head. Also no racquet cover is provided. what a shame.
Very good and very stable racquet.

It is a nice,well balanced racquet.I will recommend it highly for beginners.
Poor quality
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
The built quality seems great but the wires of the racquet got loose within 7 days. Decathlon is selling poor quality products
Cover not included
Used for 1 week or less
Cover is a basic accessorise thats always provided, its standard across all major brands. If not provided, it should atleast be mentioned on the website.
Good racquet
