Technical Information

1
Feather origin
Thanks to our traceability system, we can guarantee the origin of the feathers, which are sourced in accordance with our responsible material commitments. Our suppliers are committed to using only feathers that come from ducks that are bred for their meat and which are plucked after slaughtering. http://developpement-durable.decathlon.com/documents-et-rapports/documents/
2
Fill Power of the down/feather filling
For this down jacket filled with 85% down/15% feathers, the fill power is guaranteed to be greater than or equal to 660 CUIN. The fill power is a measure of the down's thermal insulation capacity and its potential to "trap" air. Down with higher fill power (a higher CUIN number) takes up more space, trapping more air and providing greater thermal insulation.

The advantages of a duck down and feather filling*
The down's long-lasting fill power gives it 3 important qualities for hiking: - Thermal insulation thanks to the air trapped in the down and feathers - Ultra-lightweight: with equal warmth, feather is lighter than synthetic wadding. This saves even more weight in your backpack - Ultra-compressible

Care instructions for jackets filled with down and feathers
The down jacket can be worn throughout the winter and will certainly need to be washed. Follow the instructions by clicking the link below: http://www.quechua.com/wash-your-down-jacket
6
In the event of rain
The material of this padded jacket is water-repellent. It makes drops of water run off the surface, which delays the time it takes for water to get inside the down jacket, giving you time to get out of the rain. The shoulders and hood of the down jacket, which are more exposed to the rain, are waterproof. However, we advise you to wear a waterproof jacket over the down jacket in case of prolonged exposure to rain.

How to reactivate the water repellent property?

Preventing feathers from leaking
The main seams are thermobonded and not stitched to stop feathers getting through.

Filling comes out from everywhere
Used for 1 week or less
Best jacket I ever have...
Very - very warm, affordable price , beautiful, nice fit (always order one size small) but biggest drawback is ' upper cloth is very thin, very weak ' ,
you should very - very careful when wearing it..
Too much fillings comes out from everywhere like you are working in a poultry farm..
Very disappointed...
Response of the brand
Hello Deepak,

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We are really sorry to hear that the fillings are coming out. The outer fabric is designed to be lighter and be compact to take minimum space in your backpack. If the fillings are coming from one place you can push the feather inside and rub over the surface to avoid further loss of feather. However, if you see a large amount of feathers then it could be an issue. We would advise you to take it to any of our stores so that the team could help you.

I hope the information helps. You can write back to me for any further help: )

Love it!
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
Great product for just 80£. Very warm, absolutely light weight. Not found in the store, I ordered online an M size (usually I wear an L), it suits me perfectly. Maybe just a bit concerned about the fragility of the main fabric, but so far a great product, highly recommend and great value for money
Very warm and value for money
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
This jacket is value for money. Rolls into a nice little fluffy ball during travel trips. Keeps me warm at 0 degrees Celsius. Couldn't ask for anything more. I wear a 42 size shirt in India but had to buy M size of this jacket.
Excellent Product
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
Just excellent product. I used this product on a winter expedition to Ladakh where minimum Temp was -10C.
It helps me to withstand extreme cold such as -30C.
Perfect for Iceland trip
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
I spent a week working and filming in Iceland at the start of March temp range -2C – -13C plus windchill. Great just out and about, then wore it under a Berghaus Goretex waterproof over a fleece and base layer while at altitude and never suffered. Minimal down leakage, didn't have any problems with fabric tearing as another reviewer reported. Only minor issue is pockets are slightly at the wrong angle so if you forget to zip them back up contents are at risk.
Good fit very warm
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
Great
Excellent may not be rip proof
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
Very warm
Excellent jacket
Used for 3 to 6 months
This is a really good jacket and well worth the money. Performs like a jacket twice the price. Usual thing with Decathlon, buy a size bigger (I'm a large and went for the XL - fits like a glove). don't concur with the earlier comments about the elbows. Not an issue. Only down side is that there are no toggles on the hood to draw it down and keep it there. Apart from that, just great
Great warmth but very fragile
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
This is a fanatically warm and comfortable jacket with surprisingly good water resistance. But it has onr major flaw. Apart from the areas reinforced with ripstop material, the main fabric is incredibly fragile. More fragile than any other down jacket I have owned. After just a few days of light wear an abrasion from the zip of the jacket itself caused a minor knick in the fabric and now feathers are leaking out. It’s potentially a great product but areas of the fabric are so fragile I’m afraid to wear it even in light day to day use.

Now exploring repair options.
Brilliant
Used for 7 to 12 months
If this jacket had Rab or Mountain Equipment printed on the front it would be selling for £200. Absolutely brilliant jacket which is just as good as any of the top brands at a fraction of the price. The only way it could be improved is if they used a ripstop fabric for the whole jacket rather than just the shoulders, wrists and hood.
