Easy to handle and shock absorber.
Poles took a little getting used too, loosing the bottom section in bushes etc as I'd not tightened them enough (my fault) Anti-shock worked a treat and cannot slate them, but however one of the titanium tip came out and the pole was worn down and will be returned as that should never have happened!
Was a great aid during my trip to Mount Rinjani, Anti-Shock technology was a life saver! Highly recommended!
How to activate/deactivate antishock spring mechanism??
Thank you for your review of the Forclaz 500 anti-shock pole. To engage or disengage the spring you need to twist the pole in the direction of the lock and unlock symbol on the pole itself (once the pole has been secured). If this isn't clear please pop into your local Decathlon where one of our trekking experts will be at hand to show you, otherwise please get in touch and i will be able to talk you through it step by step.

I have just used this in a trek and the antishock is completely broken and the graphite tip is completely gone.
This completely a damaged product.
We are sorry to hear that the poles did not serve you long for your trek. This is quite abnormal as we put through several test to ensure the strength and the Durability of our poles before suggesting to our users. This could have happened due to a defect in the pole, so it would be great if you can bring it to our stores so that the team could check and understand the issue to help you better.
Please write back back to me in case you have any further queries:)
everything about this product is nice but if you come to the gripping part it makes it more unique than other product. I had tried other hiking pole and faced one problem that is with gripping i.e holding too long makes your hand sweety which irritates to use the pole. the fabric of this gripping is very comfortable which gives a good grip on it.
On all the hikes and treks it is just difficult to keep moving without any strains, we all look for some sort of support, may be from a stick or something, and then just wanted to have a permanent stick so what is better than this stick which is adjustable in its size and easy to carry on every hike and trek.
I personally feel that every hiker must have this with him or her.
Used it in Chadar Trek, Very useful worked very well I loved it antishock property. However, its opening and closing froze a few time due to ice.
Bought 4 nos. I tested the poles for the antishock feature before purchasing them. Brought them out the next day for a hike, the antishock feature for 2 stopped working (i.e. the spring function doesn't work, the poles are like fixed/rigid poles now) 10-15min into the hike. I was expecting the poles to function as spec longer than the 10-15min usage....Could have saved the money to buy the lighter non-antishock poles.
