Technical Information

How to adjust your walking poles?
Hold the poles with your arms bent at a right angle. To adjust them: Unscrew the middle strand, underneath the ring of the lower strand, locate the size of the desired stick (in centimetres), and screw back firmly but do not overtighten, repeat with the lower section. NEVER GO OVER THE "STOP LINE", or the pole may break during use.
Directions for use
Before leaving: always check that your poles are well tightened. The poles can be lengthened for example, for descents, or for a hard push up the mountain . When walking downhill, it's best to remove the strap so the pole won't get in your way if you fall.
Comes with a summer hiking (small diameter) unscrewable basket. Compatible with wider winter baskets.

All our poles undergo use tests carried out by users who represent the target market in similar conditions to those found in typical use. Our Field Test Missions team up our product managers with people not affiliated with QUECHUA to test, improve and validate our products.

Product test
Bending and compression tests are done on extended poles to make sure they remain effective and can withstand stresses when the user has to lean on them heavily. Tests are also carried out to assess how the tightening systems cope with pulling, tightening and repeated stress, and pull tests on the tips and handles simulate poles getting stuck when in use.

Stockage tips
Store the poles in a dry place, do not tighten the sections.

It was slightly heavier than other models, but I preferred the anti-shock spring feature of this model. Also, the grip design is very comfortable and natural.
Little heavy but comfortable
Used for 1 week or less
The antishock makes the pole a little heavy, but the spring feeling that it gives is worth it.
The height adjustment system was a bit confusing at first, as it seems like you should twist the blue rings when you should in fact twist the poles. But once used to it, it's great because the height can be adjusted precisely, it's not restricted to specific steps.
