Versatile pedals to have, if you ride on off-road trails (where you need a clipless setup) and on ordinary roads (where you don't). The SPD side requires adjustment by removing the reflector on the back of the pedal, which took a bit of figuring out. The platform side is grippy, even with the smoothest soled shoes. The pedals are quite light.
MY only complaint is that the pedal spindle is a little stiff and needed about 50-60km of use to loosen.
These are good pedals for a mix-use. Unfortunately, they have been used for 8 months with 60 miles each week commuting. Yesterday, the axle has broken inside. I wish I had kept the receipt for the 2 years warranty.
Was looking for a cheaper version of Shimano A530 for my indoor trainer - Triban 100, this serves the purpose.
So I bought these to replace the ones on my spin bike. They have been used 20 or so times since I put them on. Now I'm no Chris Hoyle and the wife is no lizzie Armistad, so not put through too much stress and never been outside or dropped on. However went to use them today and the pedal wouldn't spin on the axle. On closer inspection the pedal housing has cracked, thus the bearings have come unseated inside. Up till then they have performed well.
Thanks for your feedback. I have forwarded this on to the design team who deals with pedals. We don;t seem to have other feedback regarding this issue therefore I can assume that it's a one off but nevertheless I'm going to send this information to b'Twin.
Please return them to us for a refund or an exchange.

Was worried about using theses but quickly adjusted.the instructions are not that clear as to how to adjust the locking system with the little screws but I worked it out in the end.
