Technical Information

How to pack your bag for optimal comfort?
Put your bedding at the bottom. Put heavier gear (tent, stove, food) closest to your back. Pack your clothes around these items. The groundsheet can be placed under the flap, the tent goes under the backpack if it doesn't fit inside. Keep your waterproof jacket and fleece to hand. In the pockets, distribute the smaller items that you use during the day (sun cream, map, sunglasses, etc.). If carrying a hydration pack (water bladder), this should be placed in its special pocket along the back.
The Easyfit system
This patented system lets you adjust your bag directly on your back, with just a single movement, so that it fits your body shape: for maximum comfort.
How to adjust your backpack?
FIRST, LOOSEN all the straps (shoulder straps, belt, load adjuster straps). PUT THE BACKPACK ON. PLACE THE BELT ON THE HIPS (it should cover your pelvic bones) and TIGHTEN IT. Then PULL THE EasyFit TOGGLES, the strap block will go round your shoulders. Finally, ADJUST THE LOAD ADJUSTER STRAPS to suit.
Tests carried out by our Research and Development teams on the effectiveness of the Easyfit system
A user-friendly system: with the Easyfit backpack, adjustment is 2-3 times quicker, and the number of times you have to go back and start over = 0 for the Easyfit bag. Does not affect the quality of the adjustment compared to a bag with a standard adjustment system: the EasyFit was rated significantly more comfortable in the 4% Friedmann statistical test, with six times the number of correct adjustments found.
How is backpack volume measured?
The volume of each backpack is measured using a standardised method: we fill the main compartment as well as each pocket with little balls. We then empty the balls into a graduated container to measure the equivalent volume in litres within a few percentage points. The empty weight is that of our reference sample. There may be slight variations.
10-year warranty
The warranty covers any defects/faults with the backpack, except those caused by normal wear and tear and improper use. This special 10-year warranty is only valid on production of the product itself and the sales receipt. If the product is under warranty, it will be repaired or exchanged for free. This commercial guarantee does not affect any statutory guarantees that are applicable in the country of purchase.
A score for comparing products' environmental impact
The product's environmental impact is calculated over its entire life cycle using various indicators. An overall rating from A to E is provided to help you easily identify the more eco-friendly products by comparing products of the same type (T-shirts, trousers and backpacks, etc.). Decathlon is committed to displaying the environmental information of its products. For further information:

All our backpacks are tested in the field by users who represent the target market under the same conditions as you would encounter in use. In particular, our "Mission Tests" bring together the product manager with people who have no affiliation to QUECHUA to test, improve and validate our products.

Product test
We test the bag both in the lab and in the field to ensure its resistance to abrasion, tearing, washing, water-resistance and colour-fastness under UV rays. Then, the weighted backpack is placed on a mannequin that simulates ageing by replicating thousands of fast walking movements, to check the durability of assemblies. The components (fabrics, buckles, straps, foam, zips, etc.) are also tested separately so that we can guarantee these bags for 10 years.

Stockage tips
Store your bag in a dry place.

Used for 2 to 8 weeks
I had my sights set on this for over a year, when my old rucksack gave way, I decided to buy this for my road trip. I had planned to carry my camera, chef knives & camp gear which conveniently accommodated all of it. I am never going to buy another brand product!
Suitcase In A Backpack
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
This is a fantastic bit of kit! Looks and carries like a Backpack, but loads like a suitcase.
The back system is really good and the perfect fit is easily achieved. Also unlike any other backpack I've known, there are zip mesh pockets on either side for those small items that get easily lost amongst what's been packed and shifted, after rummaging for something at the bottom of the bag. Although that isn't an issue either, because the whole back of the bag has a zip surround, meaning everything is easily accessible whether at the top, middle or bottom of the bag.
The top of the bag is a bag in itself and separates easily from the main bag. This makes it ideal for trips to the shower block when staying on site.
The outer pockets are of a generous size, and ideal for carrying 1l sports bottles. The belt pocket is a good size too with a decent zip allowing it to open fully. This comfortably houses a mobile power pack, and allows a charge lead to be connected to a mobile device whilst on the move.
The lower compartment is accessible from both inside and outside of the bag, and at the bottom of the bag there's a pocket for the included cover. This though is no ordinary cover. It also can be used as a separate bag. Again, ideal when on site, and needing to maybe do a bit of laundry. It can also be used to carry the backpack itself over short distances, or when on public transport, so as to avoid the need to carry it awkwardly or struggle in a confined space to put it on.
All in all this ticks all the boxes, and I highly recommend it.

very good product.

I recently used this product in Goechela trek. Though slightly bulky but it is awsome, comfortable.
A Very good backpack for sturdy folks
Used for 7 to 12 months
I think I am one of the very first customers in India to buy this bag as soon as it arrived in Hyderabad Decathlon store. Well, There should have been a "Very Good" between your "Good" and "Excellent" rating. I am rating it as "Very Good" as it serves all purpose of a trekker, camper and traveler. The back open system like a suitcase has made it unique in design, and it's a delight thereby using the product. The top portion of the bag can be used as a side-satchel - that's another great feature. Though a locking mechanism doesn't help much in terms of security in this kind of backpack, I must say, it's a unique feature and definitely a plus.

The only downsides I found are that the bag is quite heavy, even when it's empty and that the rain cover that comes with it is also very heavy and takes a good amount of space, even after folding up neatly. The rain cover, I feel, could have been little thinner, like a light plastic one. If you are a serious camper like me and are carrying your tent / sleeping bag etc along with the bag, it may be a bit heavier while ascending steeps.

Else, a fantastic product.
Great backpacking bag
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
Comfortable and roomy and has a very handy day pack that attaches to the backpack. Open to the front so it's easier for packing. Used it for 2 weeks while backpacking in Europe and was very happy with it!
Awesome pack but heavy
Used for 1 week or less
Disclaimer: I only used this for a few days.
I loved the convenient packets and lockable main compartment. Overall awesome bag. However, I did notice it is around 2x heavier than my main 70L bag. In the end this weight issue was a deal-breaker for me, although I loved everything else.
