I seldom give reviews for products unless I'm absolutely impressed.
This GPS watch is a must have it is even better than popular brands and for the price it is fantastic value for money.
My friend has a very popular brand GPS watch and after seeing mine he also wishes he knew about the Onmove 500 because it would have saved him loads of money.
Features are awesome and what you get for the price is fabulous too.
If you're still sitting on the fence dithering wether to buy this or not, allow me to help you make the decision.... Buy it, you'll love it.
GPS is fast.Distance and speed is accurate. My first HRM watch so don't know how to read it but the reading seems OK. Very fast delivery service, within 3days i got it. Warranty issues were rightfully taken up by the customer desk at the Guwahati Store(India). Very happy.
Used it for a week and got fed up with it. Never wanted to connect to transfer data and when it did it was wrong.
Go Garmin for reliability

Many complain of the bluetooth connectivity and yes, it's a nuisance. The trick is your phone has to have it's bluetooth visible during each connect. Check your phone's manual/website on how to do this. Yes, the interface to Strava is not every 5 minutes - give it an hour. But within the Decathloncoach website the information is REALLY helpful with HR tracking mapping against the run. I can finally see (and believe) some HR data. Other tiny criticism is the tiny printing in the manual, the fact that the online manual is not the same one and doesn't cover half what I want to know but with a watch glass and the paper one I can get the answers I want. Also the "/km" type legends on the screen are far too small to be of any use to anyone of 40. (I'm 63 and this was my b'day present to me)
Bought at Braehead store on trip to Highlands and used immediately. No cable in box, backlight not working and used before as previous persons routes were still in logbook. Other than backlight issue the watch does what it should.
I recently purchased the onmove 500 as I wanted something to track my average speeds/times/bpm of my commutes to work. I own a different selection of bikes so didn't want a cycle computer and I'm not a fan of these modern apps so a gps watch seemed like a nice way to see what I was doing on my daily commutes. It's simple to use and see each workout on the watch (I haven't uploaded it, don't think I ever will) so does what I wanted it to!! At a good price too!!
I purchased this watch from Decathlon UK and have been using it for few months (mostly for running).
1. Fastfix feature works as described.
2. Heart Rate monitor is decent. (Accuracy not measured against any medical grade HRM).
1. [IMPORTANT] The watch logs the activity every 5 seconds as opposed to every second by most of the activity trackers.
2. Not an issue with the device but sometimes transferring the logs via smartphone is buggy.
3. It was not advertised to be ANT+ compatible. So do not expect it to be.
This is a value for money product. You get what you pay for. It gets the job done. Nothing fancy about it.
As a beginner runner I bought the watch to show me my progress both in time and distance. Unless I am doing something wrong I cannot see at a glance whilst running the distance- I can only see the time. It is only when I actually press "finish" does the total distance come up -
Also having trouble downloading the data via Bluetooth connection with my Iphone . Sometimes it works. 4 stars given because of the price
