This shoe was bought by me for my wife. The shoe claims to be waterproof but water entered in from the outside. We've been waiting for the Forclaz 500 for a year now but it doesn't seem to be in stock anywhere. There are only a couple of options for women trekking shoes and the Forclaz 100 was bought simply because we had a trek to do and the old Forclaz 500 had given up after 6 years of faithful service.
Thanks for taking out time in writing feedback for our shoes. We appreciate your effort and it will help us to improve in future.
I am sorry to hear that our product did not meet your expectations.
Just to give you an insight, this mid shoe is designed for our hikers and comes with good support and waterproof membrane. At Decathlon, to go faster with new product for our users ,we have split as per sport usage and we have Quechua as the new Hiking brand and Forclaz as trekking brand. I am sorry to say that the old Forclz 500 model has been stopped globally and they have come up with new trekking boots which are Trek 100, Trek 500 and Trek 700 models. These shoes are more durable and high ankle compared to our Mid shoes which will prevent water to get it from top.
I apologise for the inconvenience caused to and request you to bring back this shoe to any Decathlon store and get it exchanged or refunded and also you can have look at our trek models, our store team will assist you for the same. If you need for any specific requirement, then please let me know I will be able to help you.
Currently, in our range for women trekking shoes we have Trek 100 model, below is the link for the same to go into detail.
I stay available for any queries related to products or services.
Decathlon store assistant suggested me this shoes for high altitude trekking and I bought them but this shoes didn't perform well on high altitude and created trouble for me. They are really slippery and also the cushing is not comfortable if you are looking to wear it for longer duration. Also, they cannot protect you from heavy rain beyond 30 minutes. Your socks and feet will get wet and you will get blisters. So if you are looking for small trek you might prefer this but definitely not for longer treks and mountaineering because it will create trouble.
It is for the first time that i got hiking shoes and they have been really nice n comfy...
I bought the shoes just before my Sandakphu trek. The shoe passed the basic level of waterproofing when I poured water over it, but under heavy rain the water penetrated through the shoes and my socks became wet. The padding takes much time to dry, hence had to go around wearing wet shoes in the trek.
The paddings make the shoe a very comfortable wear.
Another fault I found very irritating was that the shoe lace was getting untied very frequenty, most probably when wet. Hence it was a very troublesome when I had to stop so many times to tie my laces. I am expecting the Quechua team can do something regarding this.
Brilliant boots. Bought them a few weeks ago, have been on several walks. Great traction. Did not need breaking in, comfortable from the first time wearing. Walked 22 km yesterday, suitable for all terrain, waterproof to the end, through muddy fields. Couldn't fault.
They look good and so far they have performed well. They are comfortable and lightweight. I think they will be ideal for my walking holiday in Tuscany. They have a fairly robust scuff/mud guard on the front and I'm sure if I used them in wet weather they wouldn't let me down
Lovely comfy shoes 3rd pair of Quechua bought just love the reasonable price and the quality is great. This pair was in the sale can only think its because they are a bit narrower than normal but just means no need for 2 pairs of socks I usually wear.
