Technical Information

Can I compare the products' environmental impact?
The product's environmental footprint is calculated for its entire life and with various indicators. An ABCDE score is provided to help you easily identify the most environmentally-friendly products comparing products of the same type. Decathlon voluntarily takes this approach: Video: All our approaches to sustainability
How can I be sure that my gloves are waterproof?
These gloves are designed using waterproof and breathable components. To prevent water from penetrating the seams, we have placed the outer component and wadding, which we refer to as an insert. This insert is waterproof and does not allow water to penetrate. In very damp conditions, water can enter the gloves where the waterproofing is worn although you keep your hands out of the snow.
What's the point of having water-repellent trousers?
Water-repellent fabric allows water to run off its surface without seeping in thanks to a treatment that is applied to its exterior. The fabric is not waterlogged, it stays light and warm. This treatment must be renewed during the product’s lifespan, after 2 to 3 washes on average with the help of the products offered in our stores. All waterproof trousers for snowboarders have a waterproofing treatment.
How do I ensure I don't lose my gloves in the ski lift?
There is an elastic strap for removing your gloves on ski lifts without any risk of losing them.

Excellent for snowy winters of Himachal & Kashmir
Used for 7 to 12 months
Excellent to buy at this price, its water proof and works even below zero degree temperature. Its stiched to perfection and fine. Fitting is great & felt comfortable to go for fun in snow. Best for windy weather also.
Good gloves
Used for 1 week or less
I bought size XL and could have possibly gone a size smaller but they were not cumbersome to use. On occasions my fingers did feel a little cold but nothing like others complaining in my skiing group. Certainly they were much better then gloves I had used previously. One other in my group bought the same pair and he was happy with them too.

The elastic bands are great at keeping the gloves on your wrist when using your hands and the material loops make putting them on easier too.
Entry level gloves
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
Great pair of gloves for snowboarding or skiing. A more secure cuff would have suited my jacket better, but the kept my hands cosy and the snow out.
Very grippy but nothing exciting or useful
Used for 1 week or less
These gloves are exceptional in terms of grip, it's why I got them. However, upon using them an apparent flaw has come to light. Two flaws really.
The glove fingers are wide making it hard to use the snowboard bindings. The cuffs are two small for the size of the hand and result in snow getting in your glove.

This kind of ruined my first experience. I fell over twice and each time the glove just resulted in my arm/hand being frozen by melting snow and ice.

In terms of waterproofing. They seem ok for one to three hours use, hard to tell beyond that due to the cuff size. I do like the colour.

They need a inner glove cuff adding that goes further up the arm to prevent any snow entry, especially as "Free" boarders tend to sit down a lot.
