Technical Information

1
How to adjust your poles?
Hold the poles with your arms bent at a right angle. To adjust: unscrew the middle section, under the ring on the lower section, adjust to desired height (in centimetres), and screw back on securely, but not too tight, then do the same with the lower section. NEVER GO OVER THE STOP LINE or the pole may snap during use.

Directions for use
Before heading off: always check that your poles are properly tightened. On downward slopes, or during strong pushes in the mountains, for example, you can adjust your poles to make them longer. When walking uphill, you can use the wrist strap for support, but when walking downhill, it's better to remove the strap so that the pole won't get it your way if you fall.

Test
Our field testers: all our poles are tested in the field by users who represent the target market under the same conditions as you would encounter in use. In particular, our "Mission Tests" bring together the product manager with people who have no affiliation to QUECHUA to test, improve and validate our products.

Product test
Bending and compression tests are carried out in our labs on the full-length poles, to make sure they remain effective and can withstand the strain if the hiker has to lean on them heavily. Tests are also conducted to assess how the tightening systems cope with pulling, tightening and repeated stress, and pull tests on the tips and handles simulate poles getting jammed during use.

Stockage tips
Store the poles in a dry place.

New Pole
Used for 1 week or less
I was planning to buy a hiking pole as the last one had got damaged during my last trek. during my recent visit to Surat branch, I came across this new hiking pole. It is cheaper than the earlier version and is very light.

Earlier one was with rotate & lock technology, while this one is with spring loaded stud which holds the different pieces of the pole. Hence it is missing the springing action as per the earlier pole.

However, at this price, it is an acceptable product. Hope this last treacherous mountain terrains. It is yet to be tested for its performance.
These are awesome, been backpacking without poles until I picked up a set for my partner and I. They seem to stay straight even with some misuse.
