|Technical information on the wadding||We use 100% polyester wadding (70% recycled) weighing 125 g/sqm in the body and 100 g/sqm in the sleeves and hood. The wadding is made from silicone-coated spiral fibres that make it highly compressible and highly durable. Despite its low thickness, it has high insulation properties thanks to the air trapped inside, and remains lightweight. It retains its warmth even when wet.|

|Water repellent property of component (not to be confused with waterproofing)||A fabric is water repellent when it allows water slide over its surface without seeping in. This prevents the fabric from swelling, and keeps it lightweight and warm. The water repellent property is achieved by treating the fabric's exterior. This treatment must be renewed throughout the garment's lifespan (recommended after each wash). Products are available for this purpose in our stores|
|What is a PFC-free water-repellent treatment?||Our water-repellent treatment is PFC-free. PFCs are used to make fabric water-repellent, however they are toxic to the environment and people. By substituting PFCs with other technologies giving the same level of performance, we are reducing the environmental impact.|

|HOW TO REPAIR YOUR PADDED JACKET IF IT HAS A TEAR?||A tear on a padded jacket can happen when trekking and the good news is it can be repaired! You can either mend it or apply a heat-bonded patch so that the tear doesn't get any bigger and the synthetic fibres escape. Don't you feel at ease carrying out this repair yourself? Don't worry!
