Have been using the 700 series shorts for over a year now and these ones are as good as my previous ones. Have used them for long rides without issue.
good fit, good pad, nice design
I bought two pairs of these (inc matching tops). Good looking and good construction and use of materials, however I've found them to not be as comfortable as either my Lusso Progel bibs or a pair of Adidas supernova proficio bib shorts I own. So a bit disappointed. Pad seems very large in terms of its width (not thickness)and this became irritating after over 2hr in saddle. Never had this issue with the Lusso or adidas (or my cheapies). I read somewhere that the straps are quite wide fitting and I would agree with this. Decathlon need to make a few tweaks to make them perfect.
Thank you for your valuable feedback. I will forward your comments on to the product designer at b'Twin.

This was my first purchase of Bib Shorts. The fit was great with no issues about slipping off my shoulders. I am 5ft9, 33/34 waist. So far my longest ride in them is about 64 miles. They are incomparably better than of my other 3 pairs of regular shorts. I used chamois cream but am inclined to believe they would have been just as comfortable without it.
I may buy another pair in the alternate colour strip.
Price. Fit. Performance. Appearance
I am 6ft and 100kg, XL was a perfect snug fit. These are on a par if not more comfortable than my other premium branded bib shorts that cost £120 more.. Only minor point was some shoulder strap slippage when off the bike at the cafe stop but not a problem when on the bike.
Really like them and so long as they last ( No issues at moment but only used a few times ) will be great value for money.
The gel pad is really good and i have been on 2 hour rides without any issues not sure this would be the case with non gel padding but not willing to try.
Gel padded seat
Very impressed with the Btwin stuff, i have bought the winter 700 kit before and as i was very pleased with that so decided to get some summer gear too and i'm very happy with it too!
the fit is nice and snug and the chamoise sits in the right place and is super comfy even on 100mile rides.
if i was being very critical i do find the tops of the shoulders (above collar bone area) slightly flappy in the wind, but as i say being critical!
premium quality at a very competitive price
After reading a review regarding size being on the small side.
I'm 5.7 with a 32 waist. When using the large size, although the fit seemed fine the straps kept falling off my shoulders.
I got myself a medium size & it fits nice & snug. Also the straps stay on my shoulders.
I wouid say, the sizing is correct. If you're usual size is a medium, sticky to a medium. Of course everybody's body shape will differ slightly. In my case, I found the item to be of good quality & the staff at the Croydon, Purley way branch very helpful.
I will gladly recommend this product to my friends.
This is a great bib short, I now have 2 of these in different colours. I had to go for the XL as I have quite large legs so it's worth while trying these on in store before you purchase.
I have this design and the grey green. You can tell they have been designed aboard though as I would have preferred the coloured stipe to be one n my right leg (off side) for a bit more visability on the UK roads.
The right amount of padding in all the right place
Having to wear an XL :(
After trying various shorts and finding them all very uncomfortable, as a last resort i tried these and they are great. Very comfortable and could have ridden for hours in them. Can recommend.
comfortable didn't know I was wearing them
Having bought the 500 bib shorts and encountered issues with the pad rubbing I was recommended to change to the 700 with gel inserts. At first felt comfy no irrtation but after 15 min of cycling the pain started on the left tight, at first I thought it was the size so I changed to a large as recommended by on of the online support gurus. For the past two weeks I have had the large with no luck same issue I thought it was me not getting used to bib shorts as they are my first. The irritation appears to be coming from the stitching/pad when I look closely the stitching isn't covering the edge of the pad which feels rough so when doing 90 rpm for 40 mins you can see how it can happen. Normally I rate decathlon products highly especially 700 range
I bought another pair from a rival online company own brand for £29.99 wanting to test if it was me or the shorts, having used these for the past few days I'm having no issues at all so I can only come to the conclusion it's decathlons shorts
Thank you for taking your time to review the 700 Bibshorts. I'm sorry to hear that they have caused some aggravation when being used. I will make the product manager aware of the issue so he can look into the way the pad is stitched into the bib to see if they can improve the way it is stitched. I would suggest that you return the last pair of effected bibs to your local store for a refund.
