Technical Information

1
Usage temperature:
We display on all our sleeping bags the comfort temperatures tested by an independent laboratory (AITEX) according to European standard EN 13537 of 11/04/2002. The comfort temperature is the lower limit of comfort at which the user in relaxed posture is generally in thermal equilibrium and is neither cold nor hot (determined for a standard woman and under normal conditions of use). CHOOSE YOUR SLEEPING BAG BASED ON THIS
2
What are the temperature "limits" for use?
Comfort temperature limit: temperature limit at which the sleeping bag user, in a curled-up position, is generally in thermal equilibrium and is neither cold nor hot (determined for a standard man and under normal conditions of use).
3
However, what you need to know about temperatures:
A sleeping bag does not produce heat but "keeps in" the heat produced by the body. If you're exhausted and cold and you slip into your wet, icy sleeping bag, you'll probably be cold, whatever its qualities! These temperatures depend on the individual's resistance to cold (corpulence, fatigue, etc.), their equipment (mattress insulating them from the ground...), clothing (naked, underwear...) and climatic conditions (moisture, wind and so on).
4
Little tips for staying warm, before you slip into your sleeping bag:
Dress simply (just 1 layer of clothing is enough). Warm your extremities: hat, gloves, socks, heaters, rubbing ... A bottle of hot water can serve as a hot water bottle (if there's no risk of unexpected opening!) Contract your muscles (70% of the energy consumed is transformed into heat) but without making movements that could generate a cold air flow.

A score to compare products' environmental impact
The product's environmental impacts are calculated over its entire lifecycle using various indicators. An overall ABCDE rating is provided to help you easily identify products with the best environmental performance by comparing products of the same type (T-shirts, trousers, backpacks...). Decathlon is a voluntary player in this environmental information approach. For more info: http://sustainability.decathlon.com/

Product test
This sleeping bag is guaranteed for 5 years from the date shown on the sales receipt. The product covered by the guarantee will be repaired or exchange free of charge. The guarantee covers defects in your sleeping bag, with the exception of those resulting from normal wear or from use in irregular conditions. This special 5-year guarantee will only be granted upon presentation of the product and sales receipt.

Stockage tips
Easily store your sleeping bag by stuffing it into its cover feet first. To keep it fluffed up, which will ensure good thermal performance, remove its cover and store it somewhere dry.

Maintenance tips
Wash your bag separately from other clothes or delicate colours, use 1/3 of a dose of washing powder, and select a synthetic cycle at 30°C. Stretch the bag out to dry in a dry, well-ventilated place out of the sun and away from heat sources or tumble dry low. Tip: a sleeping bag liner allows you to spread out washes and maintain good thermal performance.
