Recommended additional product
Care products: water-repellent reactivating spray or liquid. To boost fabric water-repellency and optimise your garment performance throughout its life. We recommend using these products with each wash.
6
Thermal comfort and Windproof
Wind considerably increases the effect of the cold. With an outside temperature of 0°C and 20 km/h winds, it will feel like the temperature is -10°C. "Windproof" components help eliminate the discomfort linked to this "freezing effect". They are very effective at reducing heat loss by creating a barrier against the wind.
7
Water repellency of the component (not to be confused with waterproofness)
A fabric is water-repellent when it allows water to slide over its surface without seeping in. This prevents the fabric from swelling, and keeps it lightweight and warm. The fabric is made water repellent by treating its outer surface. This treatment needs to be renewed during the lifetime of the garment (we advise every wash). Products are available in our stores. All Quechua Softshells are water repellent.
8
A score for comparing products' environmental impact
The product's environmental impact is calculated across its entire life cycle using different indicators. An overall ABCDE score is allocated to help you more readily identify the products with the best environmental performance by comparing the same type of product (T-shirts, trousers, backpacks, etc.). Decathlon is committed to visually displaying environmental information. For more information visit: http://sustainability.decathlon.com/

Product test
Quechua is based at the foot of Mont Blanc, in the Haute-Savoie region (France). All year round, our design teams create and develop products that are appealing, simple, and technologically advanced. These are then ruthlessly tested in the field in collaboration with our technical partners and mountain professionals. We believe that it is only through rigorous testing in real-life conditions, identical to target-use conditions, that we can continue to improve our products.

Maintenance tips
Wash at 40°C. Do not use fabric softener, tumble dry, or iron.
