Family Tents Online
Our range of 4 man tents from Quechua are ideal for couples looking for a little more space when camping, or groups of 4 or less heading for a weekend away. By choosing a tent larger than the number of people who will be sleeping in, it means that you get plenty of space for your luggage without feeling too cramped. Considering that, along with luggage and camping equipment, a 4 person tent for 4 people can get quite cramped. For a group of 4 people, especially if they’re adults, and all the camping gear they’ll likely bring with them, it’s a good idea to consider investing in a 6 person tent instead. There’s no right or wrong choice when picking a 6 man tent. It all depends on your preferences. Pole tents are the most widely used tents and come with poles and are usually more compact and lightweight than air tents. Meanwhile, air tents have replaced traditional poles with air-filled beams that inflate quickly and easily. Inflatable tents can be a little heavier than traditional tents, so they’re often best for those camping trips where your car is close to your campsite spot. 8 Person tents from Quechua provide several sleeping areas and plenty of space for you to store all your camping gear. Having plenty of space is important when you’re holidaying with a large family, and an 8 person tent makes an ideal home away from home. The kids will have plenty of space to play inside on a rainy day, while adults can enjoy their own bedroom to relax at night.
WATERPROOFNESS
All Quechua tents are tested and validated in the field and in the laboratory. They need to resist a tropical rain similar to 200L/h during 4 hours. The double-roof has a waterproof coating and waterproofing seams, thanks to heat-sealed bands.
The existence of a chamber in breathable polyester helps to avoid contact with drops of water from condensation that can be formed on the inner side of the double-roof. Lastly, the coating of its floor mat is reinforced to avoid water penetration coming from the ground.
WIND RESISTANCE
We test all of our tents in a wind tunnel on a rotating plate to expose each side of the tent to the wind.
The tent—correctly assembled and with all the awnings open—must remain habitable in winds measured between 40 and 60 kph, depending on the tent.
VENTILATION
Depending on the tent, there are one or several ventilations; the space between the double-roof and on the floor all around the tent to allow air to flow between the chamber and the double-roof, so as to renew the air and limit as much as possible the natural condensation phenomenon.
