I used these shoes for my Shrikhand Mahadev Yatra and i am very happy with this product, waterproofing is awesome.
In the Picture, it is clearly showing that the Shoe is Forclaz 500 whereas in the Product information, the shoe is declared as Forclaz 100. Please provide the relevant Information.
The Grip of this shoes is not good, salesperson gives so many promises about the product, I have seen practically even other shoes just costing around 1000 to 2000 of other brands was better than this. I did amarnath yatra with my group , they weared normal shoes there grip was better than this and they can use this on regular basis.
Thanks for your feedback on thle Forclaz 100 Hiking shoes by Quechua. I apologise for the inconvenience caused to you.
The Forclaz 100 shoes by Quechua are designed for hiking on the mountains on easy paths where they offer good grip and support, but they come with an EVA rubber outsole which is not ideal for trekking as the grip needed on a terrain like Amarnath for example, is different and we recommend a shoe like Trek 100 from our range which offers superior grip and comfort as the outsole is made of PU which is more durable also.
To add a small insight on the materials used for grip, rubber is the cheapest and the best option for the best grip but the durability is very less. And hence we use components which are a polymer of rubber that give both grip and durability.
Now, I apologise again for the inconvenience caused to you and request you kindly to visit any of our stores closer to you and seek for a refund or exchange for a shoe which I would be glad to recommend you if you can let me know your usage.
I stay available if you need any further assistance with our products or services in future.
Hi, I had purchased this product in July/August (dont remember the exact month) 2016 and used it for 2 himalayan treks. The grip of the shoe is not great on the wet/slippery surface unlike my earlier shoe which had vibram sole. Same problem was faced by my fellow trekkers too.
Thank you for your feedback on the Forclaz 100 Hiking Shoes. This shoe is designed for day long hiking in the mountains, and it is not recommended to use for trekking as it doesn't provide the support and grip required for several days trek. For trekking, we suggest the Forclaz 500 and 600 Shoes which comes with the cross contact sole. Vibram soles were earlier used in our trekking shoes and not for Hiking shoes. If you are looking specifically for Vibram sole, we will have Forclaz 700 shoe arriving in our stores towards October this year.
However, I will forward your feedback to our product development team. Hope this information helps you to choose the right shoe for your sport.
Varun NAIR DECATHLON
Build Quality is Good, Comfortable to wear, Waterproofing is as good as advertised.
The shoes are of very good quality, premium looking and sturdy build. The grip in rough terrains of the trek are very tight, giving you confidence. The ankle support is very important in uneven surfaces and it does its job well. The shoes are flexible enough for any kind of rough and uneven surface, and waterproof to keep the moisture out.
Its color and style!
I bought this shoe in the month of April and it was fine till my first trek but it got damaged during my second trek . The black leather strip in the front developed a hole out of nowhere and this shoe has been rendered useless . I bought it from DECATHLON MOHALI . What about the warranty ? Will i get a replacement ?
Life is very short and gets damaged
Thank you for your feedback on the Forclaz 100 hiking boots.
Please note, we do not recommend these boots for trekking. The Forclaz 100 boots are designed for day-long mountain hikes on easy paths in all weather conditions.
For trekking we suggest the Forclaz 500 or 600 range of boots.
Like everything else from Decathlon, these boots also come with a minimum warranty of 2 years on manufacturing faults and defects. However, improper usage, user error and wear&tear is not a part of this warranty.
Though I suggest you take your boots to Mohali store for inspection and the store team will be able to help you out with a refund or an exchange should your boots are in warranty.
I am available in case you have any further queries.
Many thanks and regards,

I bought this shoe in a Decathlon showroom. It looked comfortable when I tried there but after using it for two days both my foot really hurts bad. The main problem is the shoe has a arch shape inside and I am flatfoot where both my foot do not support arch. I am not sure if it could be returned as I have already used it for couple of days. I bought it for Rs.4000 and now I dread to wear and walk. I would never go hiking with this shoes as it would torture my foot. Do not buy if you are flat foot. My 4K is gone in the drain now.
Waterproof, Looks nice
