Purchased this from Bhubaneswar decathlon. Going to Kailash Mansarovar in July 2017. To get accoustumed , went for a morning walk. Only after 3 to 4 km that too in the park, the upper part of both the Shiites developed crack where it folds. Am taking the shoes to the store. Don't know how to go for the trip if a product like quechua behaves like this
Great product. Has served me well on two treks, both with snow and rains and over a week each.
Can the team share some maintenance tips? How to keep it waterproof (any recommendations on product), how to clean the inside of the shoe, and tips on drying it! Would help a lot
Really good quality at this price range. Had used the same shoes borrowing from a friend and decided to go for it. Robust design, good grip on rocky surfaces, but not waterproof. A bit clumsy on soft snow, and slippery on hard ice which is expected. Overall, a good buy!
Hi, I had purchased this product in July/August (dont remember the exact month) 2016 and used it for 2 himalayan treks. The grip of the shoe is not great on the wet/slippery surface unlike my earlier shoe which had vibram sole. Same problem was faced by my fellow trekkers too.
Thank you for your feedback on the Forclaz 100 Hiking Shoes. This shoe is designed for day long hiking in the mountains, and it is not recommended to use for trekking as it doesn't provide the support and grip required for several days trek. For trekking, we suggest the Forclaz 500 and 600 Shoes which comes with the cross contact sole. Vibram soles were earlier used in our trekking shoes and not for Hiking shoes. If you are looking specifically for Vibram sole, we will have Forclaz 700 shoe arriving in our stores towards October this year.
However, I will forward your feedback to our product development team. Hope this information helps you to choose the right shoe for your sport.

I used these for my Roopkund Trek in the month of May and they proved to be wonderful. Of course, these are not so great when it comes to a snowy terrain but the grip otherwise is nice.
I bought this "FORCLAZ 100 HIGH MEN HIKING SHOES BROWN/RED QUECHUA" 11 months back for my trek. I used it for 2 treks till now and occasionally for my travel. Recently i realize that my left show sole is showing up cracks and pealing off. My right shoe is good. Initially i
though it might be because of my improper usage so checked my other pair of shoes which was bought from Decathlon more than 4 years back and the shoe sole is perfectly fine even after using it more than my new one. I visited whitefield store (bangalore) a month back but no response till now. Now
i can't use FORCLAZ 100 shoe for my future treks. I see this as a quality issue with the left shoe sole. Highly disappointed with the quality.
Thank you for your review on the Forclaz 100 Hiking Shoes. We are really glad to know that you have used our shoes for more than 4 years and would like to thank you for keeping the trust to go for another one.
I would request you to read the below information to understand the usage and the possible reasons how the issue would have happened with the shoe.
1. Manufacturing defect.
2. Improper Usage: This shoe is meant for a full day hiking on the mountain. If you use it for more than a day, the shoes won't provide the features we have mentioned. eg: Cushioning is guaranteed by the EVA sole which compresses after a day of use, and it takes a couple of days to regain its original size. Which means you will have less comfort if you use it for more than a day.
3. Our Shoes are not meant to be used for a bike ride. The engine heat melts the glue, which could also be the reason why the sole has come off.
We sincerely apologise for the unpleasant experience you have had with us. Kindly visit the store and meet Mr. Sabir Rahim, who handles the Mountain Sports department at the Whitefield store who will be able to help you with this.
Please write back to me if you need any further help.

THANKS AND KEEP DESIGNING GREAT PRODUCTS FOR HUMAN RACE TO MOUNTAINS.
The shoes are of very good quality, premium looking and sturdy build. The grip in rough terrains of the trek are very tight, giving you confidence. The ankle support is very important in uneven surfaces and it does its job well. The shoes are flexible enough for any kind of rough and uneven surface, and waterproof to keep the moisture out.
I purchased the pair from Decathlon Sohna road, December 2016, wore these on an overseas trip,
the boots are comfortable
Supports the foot quite firmly inducing confidence, no matter what the trail is like.
In cold keeps feet warm
Had used only for about three to four times when the seam on the shoe tongue came off exposing the foam and padding inside.
On my return to India I called up Decathlon, without any questions asked the pair of boots were replaced - much appreciated.
I have always liked the focus that the Decathlon staff have towards customer service, this incident (replacement of the defective boots) reaffirms my belief, I am associated with a Brand that cares about its customers
