Technical Information

How to pack your backpack?
Put your bedding at the bottom. Put heavier gear (tent, stove, food) closest to your back. Pack your clothes around these items. The groundsheet can be placed under the flap, the tent goes under the bag if it doesn't fit inside. Keep your waterproof jacket and fleece to hand. In the pockets, distribute the smaller items that you use during the day (sun cream, map, sunglasses, etc). If carrying a hydration pack (water bladder), this should be placed in its special pocket along the back.
How to adjust the height of your backpack?
Place the adjustment system at the height you think is correct then adjust the backpack (see. "How to adjust your backpack"). With the belt on the pelvis, put the straps around the front part of your shoulders and the load adjuster straps (sometimes also height-adjustable) at an angle of around 45° (they should never be horizontal or vertical). If during fitting, the back seems too short or too long, readjust it and try again, until it feels absolutely right.
How to adjust your backpack?
FIRST, LOOSEN all the straps (shoulder straps, belt, load adjuster straps). PUT THE BACKPACK ON. For backpacks with a capacity of 50 L or more, place the hip belt correctly (it should sit over the pelvis) and tighten it. For smaller backpacks, position the belt around your waist. TIGHTEN THE SHOULDER STRAPS. Finally, ADJUST THE LOAD ADJUSTER STRAPS to suit.
Environmental measurements
Decathlon has decided to inform you of the environmental impact of its hiking backpacks over their entire lifespan. This work follows an experiment that began in July 2011 with the French Ministry of Ecology. The scores ranging from A to E have been awarded based on a comparison between Quechua backpacks only. Details on this project and the calculation methods used are available at
How is backpack volume measured?
The volume of each backpack is measured using a standardised method: we fill the main compartment as well as each pocket with little balls. We then empty the balls into a graduated container to measure the equivalent volume in litres within a few percentage points. The net weight is that of our reference sample. There may be slight variations.
10-year warranty conditions
The warranty covers any defects/faults with the backpack, except those caused by normal wear and tear and improper use. This special 10-year warranty is only valid with the product itself and the sales receipt. If the product is under warranty, it will be repaired or exchanged for free. This commercial guarantee does not affect any statutory guarantees that are applicable in the country of purchase.

Stockage tips
Store your bag in a dry place.

Maintenance tips
To ensure materials retain their properties (especially waterproofing), we recommend you do not machine wash, tumble dry, dry-clean, or bleach your backpack. Do not iron. To clean your backpack by hand, use warm soapy water and a brush if needed. After a few years of use, you should renew the water repellent properties of the fabric using a waterproofing spray.

Strong & enough storage
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
Good material, strong, enough storage space for 5 to 10 day trip.
Awesome product and service
The product is just too good. One can rely on it completely. The compartments are just there where you need it. The quality is also beyond expectations.
I got it within 3 days of the purchase.
You get what you pay for
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
This product is fine for what I paid for it. It’s no way as robust as a high end bergan but for 40 quid it does the job.
A canoe liner will be required in case of a down pour as this is definitely not going to keep your kit dry.
Another worry is the outer zip which seems flimsy and could burst open with a heavy load

the backpack is so comfortable.
One of The Must Have.
Used for 3 to 6 months
If you go for a trek more than a week or something, then it's the best thing to carry your luggage.
Nice pack
Used for 2 to 8 weeks
The front opening zipper is a great feature; you don't have to dig in from the top to access stuff deep down. Carries a 70m rope, trad rack and personal gear neatly. Durability needs to be seen
