I wore this for everest base camp, chola pass trek in nepal. After 2 -3 days the down feathers are coming out from various places. And the outer layer is very thin and fragile. I dont know what to do with this..i bought it around 3 months ago.
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Down Jackets are the lightest and compact solution for warmth. That makes it the ideal mid layer for your several day treks. It is quite normal to see the feathers coming out through the seams, and it doesn't affect the performance of the jacket unless the jacket is torn or it happens due to the stitches started to come off. If you see there is a defect like that, kindly visit any of our stores, and the team would be more than happy to help you with a solution.
I am available for any further queries:)
This is probably the best gear to carry on a moderately cold trek considering the insulation, water resistance and the lightness of the material. Only gripe being that it is too loose at the hands and if only it could be altered a little.
Very light and warm
This is an excellent product and i am searching for the black variant and is sadly out stock.I searched it in 3-4 stores and is also unavailable online. :(
I am so glad to read your feedback on the X-Light jacket by Quechua and at the same time I apologise for the inconvenience caused to you.
The black variant of this jacket will be available online from 1st of September. And if you would like to collect if from some particular store of us, I can put you in touch with the team member from that store and they will let you know once it arrives there.
I stay available if you need any further assistance with our products or services in future.
Very good product and very useful in chill weather & winter...Thanks Decathlon....
I have been camping and hiking for many years and this coat is, perhaps the best value item I have bought along the way.
There are pros and cons obviously but here is what I have found using it.
The jacket is significantly cheaper than other down coats
There is a small pocket on the inside, without a zip.
The coat is waterproof for small amounts of light rain but nothing heavier than that, rain just sits on surface and can be wiped off.
The hood is well fitted and fits snugly around your head.
The coat does pack down into a bag but is still only slightly smaller than a normal coat rolled up.
Pockets are not padded on the inside but that doesn’t really make a difference.
The jacket is slightly shorter at the bottom, this isn’t a bad thing if you are wearing a waterproof coat over it which I would recommend.
There are not toggles at the bottom to tighten so air can get in through there unless you are wearing a coat over the top.
Overall a very good find. If you are camping or hiking outdoors and are not facing anything too extreme in terms of temperature the this is a perfect product. Should definitely be used with a coat when raining.
Love the jacket, lightweight warm and looks good too. Just be careful with the size, I normally wear size M but has to go up to XL on this. Size L also fits me well except a bit tight on chest.
great for the price
My husband loves this jacket, it's lightweight and so warm.
He wore it in a brief bit of light rain on a very windy coastal walk, but he was dry apart from the warmth of it made him sweat in it a bit.
Light weight, packs away into a small pouch, looks cool and dies the job. Excellent value for money!
