The jacket has a long lenght. Very Light but not very warm. Can be used for mild winters but in extreme winters you need something more warmer....
I used the jacket in -5 degrees and the warmth was amazing.
This keeps warm when you are at -5 degree cold.. i liked it very much...
I took it for 1k loang ride on my motorcycle, even in the chilling cold I was warm.
its warm, Compact, Lightweight & Comfort
Bought this for chadar trek. We did the trek from 24th to 28th jan. The duck feathers keep coming out. I dont know whether it is a stitching problem.my friend also bought the same jacket.he is also facing the same problem.warmth provided was good. Though i am doubtful how long it is going to last.
Thank you for getting in touch with us regarding the X-light Down Jacket. We are glad to hear that the product kept you warm during your trek. It is quite normal to see some feather coming out through the stitches, and we have filled some extra feathers than the mentioned amount to handle this. This shouldn't affect the performance of the Jacket.
Feel free to revert back if you face any issues with the jacket in the future :)
Bought these jackets on 24.12 for going to manali. It worked well for december weather of manali. Should see further performance. Thanks to Decathlon
Got these Light weight and warm Down from Decathlon-INdore a few weeks back. I used them in my latest expedition to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro.
I used this Downjacket at -33 degrees with two inner fleece jackets and one NORTH FACE inner thermal wear. The Jacket really stood to its promise, its very light weight, will keep you warm easliy at -5 to -7 degrees. It also stood to normal snow flakes in the open . The jacket itself is not wind proof but is comfortable. I would recommed The Black color Down jacket as it absorbs more Heat. comparing with Katmandu Gears, Montane Jackets, Quechua Jackets are more Price compatitive with commitments.
I am hardcore Trekker I recently Purchased this Jacket for snow trek No warmth as mentioned all Laboratory test After wearing 3 layers & then if you wear this then its ok then whats the point There are better Down jackets expensive but reliable I dont rate this product as reliable compared to other brands
Hello Mr. Shridhar,
Thanks for your time to review the X-Light down jacket by Quechua. I apologize for the inconvenience caused to you.
The best-known way to stay warm on the mountains is by the system of layering. To have one single jacket keep you warm is difficult as it will end up bulky to fit in your backpack and heavy also. So the best-recommended way is by layering, a base layer to trap the body heat, a T-shirt to breathe and pass the extra heat, a layer of fleece for warmth, down jackets when there is more warmth needed and externally a windproof+waterproof jacket to protect from the wind, snow, and rain. At Decathlon, all possible efforts are taken to ensure that the value a user gets for the price he pays is always better and this jacket is never an exception to that promise.
